Unhappy dont it just p*ss you off when...

You drive 70 miles to view a car at a dealers, to be told its not arriving until tommorow... erm how come the photo in the ad shows it on your forecourt!!
and i wouldnt have wasted my time driving over.. and no appology either ..

or another company who advertises cars with photos has no premises as such,,
just a fancy door in a residential street... where the f dod they keep the cars then??

it amazes me how these people manage to do business..

I always phone and make an appointment if there is specific car I'm interested in. It also means you're likely to be taken more seriously and not viewed as just a tyre-kicker. It's happened quite a few times that I've phoned about a car only to be told that a deposit has been taken that very day and it's no longer available, so always worth doing.

lol.. we wenr to look at a car in nottingham yesterday, Im actually suprised we walk away from the garage alive, in fact I fully expected my mate to get mugged, mst dodgy geezers ever. car was advertised at £895... we looked round it, decided it was a bit too tatty for what he wanted. this skin head walks out and starts asking why we dont want it. were walking away and he starts £500... so I start laughing and tell my mate its got to be worth that, next thing I know this guy is shouting at me Im a f*#kin idiot and giving him attitude wtf is that all about... asked where we are from and starts on about how he comes to our town to beat up people... tried to take us round the back to show us what his real business is and why he cant be ar$ed with us pair looking at this poxy car, as the plonker he is my mate follows him round the back... no chance I thought.. stayed out front where I could be seen...lol was happy to get it the car and drive away in tact....

in actual fact round the back he had a hummer and a gorgeous beemer. some moneys worth and I would put money on them cars being nicked

Remember looking for a Corrado several years ago. Travelled 80 miles to a garage after the salesmen assured me it was completely mint in every way in response to my questions. He waxed lyrical about the car but was 'honest enough' to point out it had an almost imperceptible blemish on the rear nearside wheel arch.

When I finally arrived and looked at the car the blemish he had mentioned was the best bit of the car. Every alloy was badly kerbed, there were that many bumps in the metal work i was convinced it must have been parked in the middle of a golf driving range.

The inside was worse ! Looked like the inside of a skip and it just had to have been clocked...even the steering wheel wasn't on straight.

Some car dealers just seem to be like that I suppose

Further to J4CKO's comment.

To me the person selling it is just as important as the car itself.
The number of times that I have not bought what looked like a nice car in all aspects because the seller was giving it, "yeah, mate, innit, nice mota yeah, proper".
If I don't trust the seller I dont trust the car. Simple.
