Do TV series on big American networks actually make money for people? I dunno.

Most Yanks don't get irony, that's the problem. Most of our comedy or progs in general are ironic, and thus the yanks don't laugh. Plus it's not some reality TV ****e show, so they don't watch.
It is true it won some award, maybe it's all the ex-pats watching it?
As for the Cannucks, ah, well, thank god, they do get irony, and pay it back in spades Will have to get the Office on DVD and see if Rosie likes it. She was rather amused at Lock Stock, ****** and Shaun of the Dead.
I can't see the yank version of the office doing that well. It'll be the same as the yank version of Coupling, it'll fail.

I dont think the general American public did/do 'get it'. the reason the english version won awards is because the important people in american t.v (the ones that vote for the globes etc...) like matt groening (sp?) liked it. He apparently is a fan of Little Britain also, so dont be suprised if....
BTW blonde out of coupling, 'arrrrggghhhhhhhh' <--- Homer Drool....
