My 300D is now showing err 02!!

Its clearly the CF Card as my other Jessops card works fine

Can anyone remember what we had to do if the CF Card was faulty .... I can't find the info!?

Have you tried formatting the card within the camera Pete ? That is, if you can do that while it is showing Err02.

Never seen this myself, so I'm not sure.

Stupid question but have you tried cleaning the contacts on the card. I know this has worked for me in the past(albeit with a different camera).

Gotta say I haven't even bothered trying the free card I got with my 300D... if I dig it out I'll give it a go and see if I have a problem or not

Just stuck in in another camera and formatted it in that, popped it back into the 300D and formatted again - sorted!!

I guess it's called Scandisk for a reason.
You need to run Scandisk and do a surface scan to get rid of the bad sectors before it works?
