I've just seen your old car for sale on ebay I assume the advert is total rubbish? 180bhp from a sport I'd love to know how that's been done because it'll save me doing a drivetrain swap

SUBARU IMPREZA 2.0 NON TURBO RALLY SPEC!
THIS IS A FANTASTIC VEHICLE WITH SOME GREAT SPEC IT WAS PREVIOUSLY OWNED BY A WRC RALLY TECHNICIAN WHO TRAVELLED THE COUNTRY MAINTAINING THE SUBARU RALLY CARS!!
AS YOU CAN SEE IT HAS THE FULL WRC RALLY GRAPHICS ( WHICH CAN BE REMOVED EASILY) IT ALSO HAS HAD VARIOUS MODIFICATIONS TO THE ENGINE TO MAKE IT
180 BHP IT SOUNDS AND DRIVES FANTASTIC! IT HAS A £1000 RALLY SPEC EXHAUST AND RALLY SPEC BUSHES TO ENHANCE THE HANDLING!!
EVEN THOUGH IT HAS BEEN MODIFIED THE INSURANCE IS STILL VERY VERY CHEAP SO IF YOU ARE A YOUNG LAD WHO WANTS THE LOOKS AND PERFORMANCE OF A HIGH PERFORMANCE CAR WITHOUT EXSPENSIVE INSURANCE THEN HERE IT IS!!
I PURCHASED THE CAR AS A PROJECT TO RALLY BUT UNFORTUNATELY HAVE NOT FOUND THE TIME DUE TO WORK COMMITMENTS!!
IT HAS BEEN ON MY DRIVE UNDRIVEN FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME SO THE M.O.T HAS EXPIRED WHICH IS REFLECTED IN THE PRICE AS I REALLY DONT HAVE THE TIME TO RE-MOT THOUGH I REALLY DONT EXPECT IT TO FAIL ON MUCH AT ALL!!
I HAVE A BOX OF SPARES WITH THE CAR TOO WHICH INCLUDE TWO TYRES, BRAKE DISKS AND PADS ETC.
IT IS A 1997 P REG AND THE PRIVATE PLATE IS NOT AVAILABLE !
I MAY TAKE A PART EXCHANGE IF IT MAKES SELLING EASIER
SO FEEL FREE TO GIVE ME A CALL!!

I spose it could be done with a full de-cat and a Tek3

The stock Sport / GX models are around 125 bhp aren't they?

Yeah 120-125 bhp I believe. They seem pretty hard to get more power out of for some strange reason too I believe if you use different pistons and ecu you can get 150 bhp but I'm not 100% about that one.

im trying to think of what the place is called where i took it and for the life of me i cant remember.

its a place near derby with rolling road. they did the uni chip, and the tuning.

all the other bits my mate did for me, (now he is a rally technician) DH offroad, dave horobin from near me, very very very good!!! and cheap.

ile try and find the name of it, its doing my head in now.

i did loads of research before i had the car done as most tuning parts such as superchip dont do anything for the sport derivative of the impreza. its quite easy to get more out of your sport though, its just a matter of how much cash your willing to throw at it unfortunatly. i spent a lot, you should know that. (no not a £1000 on an exhaust)

Cheers. I'd be interested to see if it's worth going that route rather than swapping the complete drive train from a scrap legacy turbo.
