My Coke Music- How much!
So why on earth is it 99p per a song. I can buy a CD from a shop with 10 songs minimium for £10, that includes the music, CD and label costs, staff costs, shop costs.
So why on earth does it work out the same rate to download the song. Admittedly I can see people downloading the Odd couple of tracks they find difficult to get hold of but surely the price of mp3s should be around 50p or less to get people away from kazaa and shareaza etc.

£1 seems fair. Especially since many won't go for the whole album.
Maybe 80p per song if you buy the whole album. You can download covers/sleeves for next to nought anyway.
Then there's the issue of number of songs on an album. Louder than bombs by the Smiths has 24 tracks, thats £24! But then again there's a Mark Kozelek album with only 7 songs. Both will cost £10/£15 to buy in the shops so you win some, you lose some. Doesn't really matter that much does it. Any other way of doing things will be unnecessarily complicated and the cost will rise anyway as they systems become more complex.
