I found a "pancake mix" in the supermarket a few years back and looked on the back hoping to see microwave instructions (my abilities stop dead at cooking!) and it said:-

"Required: Milk and Eggs"

wtf??

I may not be able to cook, but surely this meant the "pancake mix" was just flour!!??!

Try this Pancake game. It works sort of like Tetris but I'd advise you to read the destructions!

Freshly squeezed orange and sugar. My girlfriend is bringing over chocolate spread as she insists it's nice. Hmm!

Tossed a pancake last year and got a third degree burn on my wrist.
Still, managed to eat it with some jam before going to the local A&E.

I had pancake day yesterday as I don't have time later (especially as I was staying at parents yesterday and mum said she would cook). It was a nice treat after my root canal that morning.

I ate 15, which was pretty good as I am skinny and don't usually eat much (but it doubled up as dinner and lunch).

Of course they were lemon and sugar, it can't be beaten

Here in Canada they put Maple syrup on pancakes. Only adds another 4 billion calories as well.

They think us Brits are totally weird for putting lemon and sugar on them.

Thumbs up

Pancake day= Shrove TUESDAY, so it's tomorrow

Try this: pancake laid flat, cover with slice of boiled/roast ham, grate edam over it, roll it up and eat it with your fingers.

And for dessert, you can't beat the Litle Chef "Juuuuuuuuubileee Pancake!" but made at home. of course

Yes it's tomorrow, but Mardis Gras sounds better, a good excuse to have a party (pancakes and drinks)

I can confirm that Nutella on a pancake is delicious, if a little sickly after 5 or 6 of them. Best to spread on thinly, roll up and microwave for 20 secs. Makes the spread nice and runny.... Yummy!

I will have to go shopping tonight to buy the supplies, yummy.

What happened to the adverts we used to see all the time, making us well aware pancake day (jif lemon day) was approaching?

Mrs Leslie can't remember whether you use plain or self raising flour. Can anyone help?
