Wife brought some markies pre-made pancakes with lemon curd sauce - fecking awful.

If she does it next year she's getting a divorce

Why do people take something that works really well and is really simple and **** it up (directed at markies rather than my darling wife ??

I have a jif pancake mix and lemon.
It only makes 4-6 pancakes (I might try to buy more later)

Tomorrow I'm going to eat nothing but pancakes.

Buttermilk pancakes with bacon and maple syrup for brunch.
Then ham & cheese pancake followed by lemon and sugar.

Pancake mix?

- 100g Flour
- 200ml milk
- 2 eggs
- pinch of salt

Whisk it up, job done.

Got some posh cassis jam to have on mine

And most pancake mixes require you to add eggs and milk.....

So you're just paying for flour, possibly with a pince of salt, in fancy packaging

Flat4, I'm in a country where Carnival is a national holiday, it's not easy to miss. Unlike in the UK. I thought people appreciate the reminder.

On a more serious note, anyone got any good recipes for batter?

I usually just guestimate when I make it, but that way sometimes the proportion of eggs, flour, milk is a bit out. Is there a "perfect" ratio?
