So, what do you think the chances are that the Brexit impasse continues, Bessie dissolves parliament and appoints Charles to rule as a regent in her name?

So the new prime minister is officially Boris Johnson!

I wonder if this will be one of the shortest premierships in history?

He has a minority government.
Many in his party are totally opposed to him.
He has no mandate from the British public.
He has zero chance of winning a general election.

So the question now is, who is the next prime minsiter? Jeremy Corbyn or Jo Swinson?

Its interesting they still only see Corbyn as the person they have to beat, but I think the Lib Dems are stealing many votes from both Tory and Labour and Swinson has a really great chance!

Johnson is a marmite politician, you either love him or hate him, so he has no chance of uniting the public or his own party, so a general election is likely very close! The irony is, of the two candidates, Johnson is the one who is least likely to acheive Brexit!

I have to say I'm liking Boris at the moment - I like the positivity, and he's talking tough on the EU - he'll run rings around Eeyore (Corbyn) as well....
All Good so far for me

Anyone can talk positive, in the end, he'll be judged on what he delivers! I doubt the EU will be such a pushover as he's making out!

So far, he sounds like he's on an election campaign promising all sorts, which given the numbers in the commons, he'll need to win an election with a decent majority to get his Brexit plans through parliament.

He's only winning votes back from the Brexit party though and still losing votes from the centre-right supporters to the Lib-Dems with their equally positive talking new leader!
