It was announced think about 2 years ago. But still loads of people use Photobucket to host there pictures. Only problem is if this site ever closes which it could. Then all your pictures gone.

Pretty every forum I use is screaming about this - so many project/restoration threads going back years destroyed..... can't see PB surviving this (hopefully) - its a PR disaster.

They'll stop working like everyone else's. Mine worked up until today. I purposely haven't touched my photobucket account or linked any more pics to any threads since this was discovered. I was hoping if you didn't link any more then it would be ok. But no, not the case. All of the info threads and pictures I've put up on the various forums over the years taking me hours of my own time to create are now f****d. Thanks photobucket. You c**ts. What a waste of my life that was.

Sad to see all the detailed writeups covered with useless photos now.
Anyone who has a detailed thread they want to revive, please get in touch and I'll host it on my blog. Just need the link to the thread and I assume you would still be able to retrieve the photos manually from photobucket.

I'm livid, just realised my threads fecked!
That's gonna take some serious work to copy all my pics and replace them back in order.
I stopped using photobucket a while ago when I discovered I can upload straight from iPad on here, but all the previous ones are gone.
At times it's helpful for me to check what's been done or not, and also documented history.
**** holes man!
$399 per year, they can close the ******* down tbh.
