However, I personally MUCH prefer spending time with other blokes (not in a gay way). Would much rather spend time with my mates than any woman. I'm 34 now, have no intentions of marriage or kids and all that stuff.
You only get one shot at life - don't make it about somebody else!

Wow I realise I am one of the lucky ones.
At 18 I got involved with a nutcase. At the time I thought she's just needed support. She told me things about her ex, the father of her then 6 month old baby so I believed he was evil.
Shes epileptic and I became her 'carer' if you like. There in the morning as that's when her fits happened mostly, raising her daughter whilst she stayed in bed until midday then I went to work in the afternoons.
She'd go out, get pissed, have a fit next morning and life just became an endless cycle. 14 years later at 36 she's still going out at the weekends getting pissed, had 3 fits last weekend which my son witnessed and it was demanded at 15 that he stayed at home to look after her. She and the fella she was cheating on me with have been married, divorced, cheated on each other several times and her life is just a mess.
However i I met my wife less than a year after splitting with my ex. She's seen how my ex is over the years and despises her. She's an excellent mother and popular with just about everyone we meet. Whereas I'm a grumpy frustrated idiot. She's the ying to my yang if you like.
There are definitely more nutters than good ones, so when you find a good one keep hold of her.

How long have you been single for though? You sound like your still in the single-man honeymoon period. You sound like one of those blokes who never sees their mates when he's getting his d1ck wet, but then suddenly wants to do everything when he's single again lol. Could be wrong, but I've got 'mates' like that.

This thread reminds me of one of my favourite videos - the Sexy/Crazy matrix - fully explains the Danger Zone, Fun Zone & Marriage Zone....
Its superb - watch it all, as the Men's version at the end is even funnier! hahahaha

Mine is quite thick which is handy sometimes as she believes my man maths when I want to spend money on cars or other sh*t lol.
Example of what I have -
Watching some motocross on the TV, one guy goes from a first turn crash to second place, I comment - 'wow he really pulled that out of the bag didn't he?'
We then move on to a lengthy conversation about where the bag was and she didn't see him holding a bag etc etc
Unbelievable, and yes I truly believe they are all fruitcakes in some form or another..
