Default Chester zoo

Took the mrs and little one today. Was very impressed. Good selection of animals and staff very helpful and will come over and tell you about the animals. Ive been to a few zoo's but this one is by far the best.

I like Chester zoo, but there is something very wrong when these great animals have to be kept in artificial conditions when they should be in their natural habitat. I don't go to zoos/water zoos anymore.

The animals in cages thing is a concern. But where they are in danger in their natural habit, usually because of human activity, zoos and wildlife parks are sometimes the saving grace for entire species.
We went to Hamerton zoo near Peterborough this weekend and they have a small collection of white Tigers. The keeper explained that these were not part of a conservation programme because there is no future for a 'blob of white' (as he called it) trying to stay camouflaged in the jungle. So a zoo is probably the only place you are likely to see these rarities.
No doubt some would say that they have to take their chance and nature will decide who stays and who goes, but it's not always left up to nature - is it.

That's lovely, make you wonder why humans want to kill these animals.
You see these ****** posing with their trophy kills
