Alcazar's 2017 run of bad luck continues...
Going over to France for Whit, and living in the north 17 miles from Hull, we decided to treat ourselves and booked via P&O Hull-Zeebrugge.
Heard today that our ferry has broken down and will not be sailing again until 5th June.
That's a 1 in 4 chance...that it would be that ferry out of the two and that we had booked on that one.
So now we are, once again, faced with the 4.5 hour drive to Dover.....
I'll be glad when 2017 ends.

The Britanny ferry to Bilboa has a habit of dumping you in LeHavre if it's too behind schedule, which is nice. Luckily I had to change dates on my one trip out and the one I would have been on did just that!
Unfortunately the return leg back to Portsmouth decided to dump us off at Plymouth instead, which is an ****. You wouldn't believe how many angry/stressed and downright abusive Englishers are until you go to the reception desk (lost my cabin key card within 10mins of being on board ) with a poor young French girl taking all the abuse by people who full well know it's not her fault the captain/operator decided to cut short the trip.
Had to bite my lip on one particular couple as they were bang out of order.
We did all get compensated by £50 per cabin which I put towards some ala carte nosh in the restaurant, and same said girl served us, and I assured her that we English are not all shouty abusive **** holes.
