Default Advice on terms of a bet....

Hi all,

Just thought I'd pop in and get your advice. Now that the Gvmt has officially notified the EU that we are leaving, and this is irrevocable, do you think I should ask for payment on this bet?

https://www.scoobynet.com/991262-wel...l#post11280864

Thanks

Yep, make him pay. He was as arrogant as the other remoaners, deserves to pay.

Today will go down as truly great, as great as Armistice Day and VE day.

Trust me. I was right before, I'm right now.

Sorry, did I blink and miss the cheering, singing, happy flag-waving crowds massed in squares all round the country?

Or maybe, nutter biggots aside, the crowds are staying off the streets and cowering under the dawning weight of uncertainty.

It was never the being out that particularly worried me, but the amount of money the extrication would cost to get there. That is still the case.
He won't pay up anyway.

That doesn't actually answer his main point though does it. If it was such a great day where were the celebrations? I think the only mention of a celebration was some delightul photos of the smarmy ******* that got us into this mess (who the one who incidentally has publicly stated would jump ship if it's a disaster).

Even allowing for the fact that we know Brexiteers statistically have a far lower average educational attainment level than Remainers, you'd think that even Warren would realize that a bet which specifically mentions a date in its terms cannot generally be honoured before the arrival of that date. Then again, perhaps he was further towards the extreme end of that spectrum

By that stage Warren may well have improved his iq, and realised his mistake

Celebrations were all over facebook etc. Trust me.

And none were held officially in case the Remoaners attacked us...they have done everything else, so why not that?

Facebook, that's all you've got?

As for fear of being attacked, where's that famous Dunkirk spirit you're forever preaching? I can't believe the average UKIP/Brexit voter would be scared of a couple of toothless lefties...
