tent for a car - ok if fixed down properly but they do get mucky and the material is usually crap after a while.

You get wet uncovering it after it rains or wet covering it during the rain....

I'm contemplating on getting one, robust and deal with windy weathers well, but then again I need to buy a garage instead, but price difference.

Hi DPB I take it you have bad experience with your one? is it windy where you are from? I'm lucky my car space is quite secluded.
Which brand did you have?

I might check it out with the council, as the fixed open fronted ones would be much better.
