Unfortunately I believe it's going to get a lot worse , I suspect something bad either just before Christmas or straight after while the shops are crammed

Got my shopping finished today for that exact reason.

I now have to go nowhere near the shops in the coming weeks...

Whilst I agree with the above sentiments this incident I don't see as a terrorist act, he is just a nut job who claimed to do it 'for Syria'

Agreed. We now know how much planning they put into this, plus the equipment they use. One bloke stabbing someone in the underground wouldn't automatically connect them to ISIS. But it could lead to more nutters doing it for their '5 minutes of fame'...

Few more acts like this, and some nut job's going to throw a petrol bomb into a crowded Mosque for "revenge". Then it's really going to kick off, I fear for the future!

I think that it appears some people have a very short memory in this country.
Not so long ago, within living memory we had one of the most detestable, fanatical lunatics the world has ever seen camped out 25 miles from the shores of this country. He had millions of the best trained, best equipped, highly motivated forces ever assembled.

They spent years dropping 10's of thousands of bombs on our country day after day, night after night not to mention rockets & inter-continental missiles killing & wounding countless thousands of civilians destroying great swathes of our cities & infra-structure.

Do you think your parents, grand parents or who ever was there from your families were saying 'Oh dear.I am really scared.I better scamper about like a scared rabbit to do my Christmas shopping or any other day-today activity. 'Not that there was anything in the shops due to the U-boats sinking hundreds of supply vessels every month meaning everyone in this country had to live on meager rations for years even after the war.

They would be ashamed of you & you should be ashamed of yourselves.

As I understand it a terrorist act is something that tries to instill fear in the general population that is why it is classed as a terrorist act ,the act is meant to make you feel unsafe/fearful personally .

Some "event"could happen over Christmas, most people will be off work and In front of the telly, perfect opportunity for all eyes to be glued to the propaganda machine.

Having a rational view of possible future events & living in fear are two different things.
BTW because I don't give a f**k about anyone who tries to make me change how I think ,what I believe in & how I behave is precisely why I am chilled.

My late mother was a teenage guard on the railway during the second word war, she did several trips from Swindon into London while the German planes were bombing.

And that was probably less dangerous than eating a British Rail sandwich!

Thing is, not many of us have lived under real war conditions - we are more used to seeing camera footage from planes or war correspondents.
In a conventional war - you know who the enemy is and can take action against them.
In a terrorist war - it could be your friend, neighbour or work colleague who has secretly become radicalised - thats the scary bit!

IMO the most worrying thing about this attack is that so many able-bodied male adults stood around filming it on their phones, instead of actually trying to help the guy who was lying on the ground unconscious while some nutter tried to murder him. Is the average tube-commuter now that detached from reality this is how they react?

That's today's society I'm afraid. I can't be bothered meeting up with a group of friends for a night out because all they do is spend their evening's glued to their phones on facebook, twitter, tinder, instagram, whatsapp, snapchat, messenger etc...

I saw something similar myself a couple of weeks ago. Nasty motorcycle crash in London, ambulance turns up to take the unfortunate victim away (was a fatal crash) and all anyone could do was take pictures or videos. Felt physically sick...
