Yep if you toss the dice you don't always have control of how it falls.
What made me chuckle was the guy arguing with the cop. The cop is fizzing and now running on neat adrenalin and is holding a loaded gun. And a do-gooder is arguing with him about the condition of the suspect.
My advice - RUN AWAY!

Tbh if I had a 9mm and someone pulled a bb gun on me......I'd shoot.
Suppose he could of shot him in the legs , but why risk him returning a fatal lucky shot
Fooook him

The reason I posted this is because it's on video it's a little more clear cut than if it were a written report.
I mean the facts are even with the video...
Nobody saw the gun until he was dead
His back was turned when the cop opened fire
If there wasn't a video it could be said the gun was planted, as it still wasn't seen by the mob behind who were shouting 'he doesn't have a gun'

It might not sit well with our idea of what good policing is about, but behaving that erratically when a cop in the US is trying to pat you down is a sure way of getting shot and always has been. Everyone from the most minor street-level hustler to the don of dons will know this, and I'm sure the guy in the video was no exception.

You're right though, it very likely wasn't Muskogee PD's intention in issuing their officers body-cams to provide comedic entertainment for the unwashed masses of Youtube viewers.

Dropped the gun and after picking it up he continued to run away until he was shot in the back.
You carry guns though and run from the police then this kind of thing will happen.
Difficult for some police in some parts of the US, probably had a few colleagues shot.
Kwik, yes, body cams for police a good idea IMO.

American constitution states they have a right to bare arms , weather or not it was legally carried , who knows ..
You could of seen someone who was nervous for whatever reason run away and drop his property retrieve it an was shot in the back, although the weapon was cocked.
Just saying.
