Default Diving

Jut curious if anyone has ever dived in the New York area? I heading there for xmas and I'm very tempted to do a few dives.

I can disappear for a good days diving while my missus and daughter go shopping

Be bit cold wouldn't it.?...

I've sailed up through east river, in July, independence day ....

I checked the sea temps and its quite warm 6 degrees, warm water clear diving is the same everywhere. A good cold water dive gets fun and the cold is gone after 1 minute

I'm just guessing here, but I don't think you are going to get many forum members who can offer much advice.

It's not an unreasonable question to ask if someone has dived in the area. The time of the year is not important just if someone thinks it's worth me trailing my dive gear across for say two dives in a place that could tick a box.

I have dived all over the world and I'm sure this would be a whale watching situation

I imagine you'd be heading some way out from Verrazano narrows

We stopped at a place called Rochester on way up, for fuel ( long Island side )

I have been emailing a dive place in New York and I need to get in touch nearer the time as its a question if someone is using their boat over the period I'm there.
