Do you want to moderate on Scoobynet? Apply Within...
As per the topic title, I intend to expand the current ScoobyNet web team and am looking for volunteers to join the team.
At the moment I would simply like you to state any experience you have and after a few days we will collate all the names and the current moderators will pick double the required amount of candidates that they feel are best suited.
Once those candidates have been shortlisted,I may put it to the public vote and allow you to vote who moderates your community, but that is currently under carefull discussion due to amount of users with a LOT of logins.
Please keep the noise to a minimum, i want to keep this topic factual and informative.
As a side note, if you didn't already know there are some very important announcements in the News & Announcements forum that you should all be aware of.
Edited to add members whom have applied:
1. NS04
2. Swiss
3. paulpalmer
4. Flaps
5. Shaggy1973
6. mark ward
7. Devildog
8. Sonic'
9. mickywrx
10. The Dogs B******s
11. Ali-B
12. Coolasice
13. DJ Dunk
14. Lisa WRX
15. Scoob99
16. rbaz
17. fast bloke
18. Scooby23
19. Maydew
20. mr_impreza
21. scoobyboy
Please note, the search is now over and the new moderators have been chosen. Thanks for your input.

A tough job picking the right kind of moderator team for the beast that is Scoobnet !!
I will be following the poll closely as I personally think the right Moderator team is essential, teamed with a good review of the unpopular infraction system.
I already have a good idea who would be best appointed as a Moderator, but I shall await your candidates.

A bit off topic, but may get the right persons attention: what about having a feedback part on the forum so people can post how there deals have gone with other members.

Hopefully the new moderator/s wont just ignore it.

Hey Stu,
I'll throw my name in the hat. No official experience of moderating I fear, but I'm an SN regular and seem to be, dare I say it, reasonably well liked on here. I also care about the quality of posting on this site and am very anxious not to see a return to the bad old days when trolls ran free. That said, I'm very banter tolerant, providing its good natured!
Perhaps best to discuss via PM.

I would like to put my name in please.
I have no moderation experience, but I have seen it done in the past by some of the best and some of the worst so I would like to think I have a good insight into the position, I spend far to much time on here, this way at least it will be for a reason
and another plus 1 for Paulpalmer as well

I wouldn't bother.... it's a thankless task and means you can't really express yourself!
I mean already there's already a new "senior" grade moderator so anyone starting as new is already a "newb" moderator.... almost a motorway womble compared to a traffic policeman
Feckin place gets dafter by the day

Ok, like Paul I've got several years experience on here as a former Mod covering a lot of the forums, so I know what a thankless task it can be. But I do gain a lot of enjoyment from this site and am happy to give something back.
I also have the benefit of hindsight, and having been on the other side of the fence for a while now, so to speak, I have a much more balanced view than I once did
So, in light of the changes, I'm up for it, with the caveat that the existing mods are in agreement - no point otherwise
If the mods are, then I'll be happy to face the public vote. If not (or the community says "we had enough of you the last time" ) then no hard feelings on either count

I would like to put my name forward for the smaller forums like Computer Related and Photography
Photography is a serious hobby of mine, and Computers and all things IT related is my job currently as a Technical Director for a small but fast growing company
I have had several years experience as a Moderator on 5ive-o when it first started up many years ago, and have run a couple of several forums as Admin (mainly internal ones with work)
There are one or two people I would like to see as Moderators on SN should they apply in addition to the existing team
Steve

I'll throw my hat in to the ring also.
I'm a mod on Tyne Tees Scoobies, so I have some experience.
One drawback would be that I have a proper job and don't have internet access during the day.
We don't have to sing before a public vote do we? Got the voice of an angel me. Hells angel that it.

It can only be NS04 or flaps for me... the rest had their chance and threw their respective teddy's out of the pram, and well Shaggy... no offence but you've been convinced I'm fecking PSL or some other old anti-christ acquaintance from back in the day so your judgements off kilter a tad!
