Got mine but got to say not amazed. Anything I say now is purely in the hope that the magazine will improve to a level where I (and I assume others) will want to read and re-read it many times and more importantly keep going for the long term.

I for one would like a few more "product/mod" type reviews maybe a couple of how/to but mainly not just a magazine focusing on classics (excluding the car cleaning, rallying and the hatches)!!!! Don't get me wrong I like reading about the classics but I'm more interested in the newages for obvious reasons and there are plenty of good ones (check this site out) that could be given the magazine room. I just dont find it gripping which considering I re-read banzai many times over suprises me.

The "Products" contained - a pair of boots, an exhaust, a grill (newage woopwoop), sat tracking and three wheels... that is just bloody poor there are loads of parts available and new ones coming online all of the time.

How about drive a classic/bugblobhawk want to improve handling ... try this this this this this etc etc etc ... should you change your panel filter ... etc etc

Dont get me wrong there's some interesting articles and getting a list of scoobie suppliers is always beneficial it's just to sustain the asking price for me it needs some more content. It is however very well presented and in that respect looks like the finished article.

Pages are fine with mine. Must have been the binding process that went a bit wrong.

pages ok with all issues.
the only problem i have with the mag is....................

there are enough clubs up/down the country(and judging by a lot of people who post on scobynet) alot of fine quality cars about,
without having to resort to feature company/showcase builds .
am getting a bit sick of seeing cars that have had 20k + spent on them.
i have had 5 scoobys from 1999,
and spent probably what ive bought my house for on them .
my current my00 wagon i have spent over 5k on and im just a normal working class lad that hasnt got endless amounts of cash to spend.
PLEASE PLEASE real cars /real owners.
just my opinion u understand .
although any mag etc on scoobys i great.

Good job on Issue 3, much more like a magazine but still lacking certain things:

More guides of varying difficulties e.g changing an air-filter (maybe with a review of the common brands) to something like a parallel fuel rail mod.

Also write ups on a few tuning outfits so readers can get an idea of the scooby tuning gods out there and what they offer.

Looking forward to no. 4

Have to say I'm rather unimpressed so far. Poor standard of writing, poor images (almost all of them are too dark) and worst of all, very poor content. When you buy a magazine such as this, you want at least some of the content to enlighten you about techniques, products etc that can improve your driving enjoyment/car performance etc. In particular I thought that the 4 pages of Prodive ar$elicking in the last issue were particularly irrelevant

I for one hope they start reading the comments on here so they can have long term success with their mag. Someone coming on here and discussing things would also be usefull to if they want to stay in touch with the scooby community.

I've not been too impressed in general and I certainly wouldn't susbcribe again. I'd want something I can read over a few times. I'd probably only pick this up in the shops if it looked like a good issue.
What was with the MY08 STI pics?

Not the best edition this time, it looks to have got thicker due to adverts rather than reader content.

My main problem with it is that a lot of the features seem outdated already eg. The 2007 tunnel run being reported on in April 2008, the RB320 number 1 exchange (wasn't that already covered in a previous edition? ), there was an advert for a show that was two days later than when I received the mag too.

I did like the cleaning report though!

I've just got the first 3 issues, via Ebay. Wish they would leave feedback. I should have subscribed at JAE, though.

Picking faults, I know, but, do the people who write the articles know what they are talking about? Or are they just taking what they are told at face value?

A standout example of this is in the latest issue. The car on the cover supposedly has 22B vents, but they are they ones supplied with a Seibon carbon bonnet. Not 22B, just standard ones. The write up on the blue Zen car was unfactual too, it was AndyF's car. I could go on.

I hope that over the coming months, more "normal" owners cars are featured as opposed to the tuners cars.

Onwards and upwards as the say though.
