Default Infinite Scroll & Related Threads

We are launching a newer way to read ScoobyNet: Infinite Scroll.

Instead of needing to click "Next" in a thread to read additional pages, you will see a layout that automatically loads the next page of a thread as you scroll. We've also updated a few other parts of the layout so they remain easily accessible while you read, including access to thread search, a button to jump to the first unread post, and a Quick Reply box that lets you type a reply while scrolling through the thread content.

We're happy to answer any questions you may have about the new functionality of the site. If you would like to keep the standard thread view with separate pages, or simply want to remove related threads, head to the User CP > Edit Options page and simply disable “Infinite Scroll” or “Related Threads.”

**For users using the mobile template on their phones, I would like to add that the User CP option to disable infinite scroll and related threads does NOT apply to the mobile template.

I think your trying to drive everyone off the site. Yes it can be turned off but only if your logged in. Not everyone wishes to log in when their browsing only when their posting. People don't basically wished to be spied on. GET RID OF IT. It's good for nothing apart from using bandwidth.

As stated before you have to be logged in for the changes to take effect not just browsing. We have a very poor connection and it takes forever to load a page never mind a infinite thread please turn it off. The threads are of no use anyway.

The site experience for logged in users is ALWAYS faster and better than logged out.
1. You can opt-out of infinite scroll and related threads:
2. the ad reductions alone would speed up your browsing experience by at least 2-3x

You could also lose members and not get knew ones. Not everyone wants everybody to know when their logged on i.e. what their doing or not doing or where they are. The old saying is if its not broke don't fix it springs to mind.

Turned mine off already. Was bringing up totally irrelevant threads all the time from 10 years back.

The problem being you have to be logged in all the time to keep it turned off. As said in previous posts it eats bandwidth as its loading numerous pages which is ok for people with unlimited broadband and fastish connection. We've 2mps at most.

The setting literally cannot be saved if you log out, as it's tied to your user ID.
