Default Tunnel Run V - Charity Collection

Well done everybody, we managed to collect an amazing £1,226.98.

This is approximate as we still have a number of DVD's to sell and some stickers (that we didn't have available on the night).

We really would like to thank everyone who gave so generously on the night, in particular Wozzaa's company who donated the stickers and especially Bibo Boy who spent hours of his own time on preparing the DVD

Thanks also to B3n who very bravely leapt out in front of cars waving an orange bucket all night.

Well done lads, top work!

I have an idea for next years run, merely a suggestion not trying to rock the boat or put down anyones hard work but would it possilbe to have some say 'tax disc' sized stickers rather than the big ones as a lot of people aren't into graphics on their cars or maybe the choice of big or small?

just a suggestion, cheers for a top night

Jonny

They didn't mate lol I put them in the itn folder and they were in there but loading them was a nightmare it just kept saying things about waypoints. I did my best with it, when we were going over the qe2 bridge the route was 'green' then when we got off the otherside it wasnt (same coming back through the tunnel) then it didnt do anything else the est of the night lol

I think it was my lack of knowing how to set it up on the tom tom!

This route and instructions etc seemed to be a rpoblem i must've had 30+ people pull up next to me at traffic lights and on roundabout asking if i knew where the hell we were supposed to be going or if i knew the way lol

In the end our one saving grace was some guy in an orange seat ibiza thingy, he seemd to know the way and Chris who gave me the postcode for maccyds! After macys we went straight home, i wasn't going to get lost again!

Like i say, good experience and for a great cause, probably not for me next year though

oh well won't do that again then

Getting lost is part of the mystery of a tunnel run, we used to go through the heart of london. All you had to do was keep the river on your right hand side but we still had people crossing the bloody bridges

LOVE IT

great Result and a good ish night out. Had some technical issues which really spoilt the night for me sure I can get her all sorted out tho.

Big thanks to JonnyUK1980 for his eagle eyes spotting my temp gauge going through the roof ha ha 2.1/2 hours later I limped back to MK after doing 40 with the heater on full. Nice to see all the local guys had a fun night out and looking 4ward to next year lets hope I do more than 2 tunnels.

Could we do the run later at night next time less issues with traffic and therefore getting the group split up.

thanks Milamber 4 all your planning etc

Well done all, we only got lost once when TomTom decided that the route was over and we had reached our destination, had forgot to press "start navi" !! d'oh.

Got to Maccy's and it was too busy to find a parking spot, so took a slow cruise home. Did spot a few en-route back north on the motorway. see you all again soon.
