I'm up for it, so long as the car is back in one piece by then! Just re-fitted the headers and up-pipe, now got to drop the new turbo on.
Should there be oil dripping out of the bottom of the turbo where the impeller(?) blades are (the exit end)? I think it has a seal must have gone on the old one! Maybe that's why I was getting a bit of smoke when I wellied it.

4)
p.s. If anyone wants a Magnex up-pipe I have one for sale (50mm approx at the header end and 48mm at the turbo end). It's wrapped and sprayed silver, though I could spray it black if it's going onto a 'stealth' car!

There may be trouble ahead.....
may not be attending......rang Ian for a progress check on car after new head gasket, all engine seals and cambelt replacement, and, .........
car's still leaking from somewhere near water pump housing, not a seal, gasket or pipe and 3" away from cylinder heads.
Ian's stumped and restripping engine as we speak.
I'll keep you posted.
Si.

Hopefully it's nothing too serious/expensive.
Mine still isn't back on the road either, though I have a MAF on the way to me in the post. Hopefully this will cure mine.
p.s. I now have some STi rear spoilers for my wagon, they're not fitted though yet!

Si beat me to the post, first time for everything!
Glad to hear it's back in one piece, I used to have problems with the water pumps on my old RWD escorts, though that could have been down to the corn flakes packets I used for gaskets!!!!
Have you heard from Andy then Si?

Got a bit lost in Hanley looking for Newcastle Subaru this afternoon!
After all that they didn't have any the bits I wanted in stock.
For them to hook mine up to a laptop and diagnose it they wanted Ł50+VAT which I would have to book it in for. Going to try out a few more things this weekend before doing that.
I'll be there on Sunday, but don't expect me to be driving on boost!!

I've got my car fixed!!!!
Took the intercooler off, and cleaned all the pipes (there was some oil residue next to the pipe on the O/S) checked for cracks and re-tightened the jubilee clips. Removed the clip that goes around the pipe leading to the turbo and re-tightened that then using an airline blew through most of the small pipes leading to the boost solenoid and inlet manifold. When doing that there was a 'clunk' and then you could hear air escaping somewhere.
Also took off the I/C tilt kit as it looked as if the jubilee clip was not seated right because of the revised angle of the I/C. It could have just been that.
So, no idea really what it was, one or a combination of the above, but fiddling with stuff, taking it apart, cleaning it and replacing it it is now fixed. Well chuffed!!
Took it for a spirited drive and it is better than ever, but compared to the push bike I have been using the last few weeks anything would seem quick!
See you tomorrow in Derby, I'm staying in Alverston tonight and will meet you at the pub tomorrow afternoon.

There are probably other threads on this subject elsewhere on SN, this is the one I bookmarked when I was thinking of making one myself.
Car is playing up again, got the bonnet open waiting for it to cool down then will clean all the pipes out properly this time.
It was a good meet at the Clock Warehouse, some nice cars there which I haven't seen before. It was a shame the 200BHP+ club didn't happen or we were too late for it. Si got us lost again on the way!

Got lost..........and..........managed to lose my windscreen trim too on A50 sub-supersonic
Top trim from around windscreen, heard it come off too, didn't realise what it was at the time......wonder how much that will cost?
Good meet guys, those 2 Ferrari's sounded awesome aswell, fair play to you John for havin' a go too.
Any pics anyone?
