Ace Corner is the junction of Beresford Avenue and the old North Circular Road, between the A40 and the A404 (Harrow Road)

Travelling anti-clockwise on the North Circular Road: Take the second exit - signposted for Park Royal - after the traffic lights at Brentfields Road (where you'll see Ikea and McDonalds) . Turn right, then right again onto the old North Circular Road. The Ace is 100 yards on the left.

Travelling clockwise on the North Circular Road: Take the first exit after Hanger Lane - signposted for Park Royal - turn left at the traffic lights & immediately right onto the old North Circular Road. The Ace is 100 yards on the left..

When arriving at Ace Cafe please be aware that it maybe busy.

For the rest as there will be a few of us turning up for the run, please park where you can and look out for an MSOC stickered car and they'll help you get a hold of a map and get you put in a group.

You will see a Scooby for the first group forming at the lights heading toward Hanger Lane from about 7.00pm if you are in the first group pull up behind it and wait to start your run.

First group will leave about 7.00pm or when the first 10-12 cars are lined up, we will be leaving 2/3 groups depending on how many turn up on the night.


REMEMBER TO BRING A MAP OF LONDON THIS IS A LONG RUN ACROSS LONDON !!!!!!!

THE ROUTE!!!

1. Leave Ace Café and turn on to the North Circluar Road (A406) towards Hanger Lane. Stay in Left two lanes and take the 2nd Exit WESTERN AVENUE (A40) towards Central London.

2. Proceed along the A40 towards Central London to the Elevated Section…..CAUTION ROAD WORKS 30MPH AVERAGE SPEED CAMERAS & 3 X CAMERAS (30mph) BEFORE ELEVATED SECTION…….continue along onto the elevated section (WESTWAY).

3. Stay in the LEFT LANE and get off A40 on to slip road sign posted A3220 (WEST CROSS ROUTE), approaching roundabout get into RIGHT LANE and take the 2nd EXIT on to WEST CROSS ROUTE A3220/M41 and down to Holland Park Roundabout.


4. Go Straight over the roundabout (2ND EXIT) still on A3220 (Holland Road), continue along to ONE WAY ADDISON ROAD to junction of KENSINGTON HIGH STREET (A315) and TURN LEFT

5. Continue STRAIGHT passing Kensington High Street Tube Station on your right and thorough traffic lights and onto KENSINGTON ROAD (still A315) which then turns into HYDE PARK GATE, look out for the ROYAL ALBERT HALL (BIG ROUND BUILDING) which will be on your RIGHT.

6. Turn RIGHT into KENSINGTON GORE and reverse into the lay by at an angle for photos (hopefully if Monkeys around). Wait here for 5-10mins.

7. Turn RIGHT out of KENSINGTON GORE back on to Main Road – Kensington Road and straight along to Knightsbridge (A4)…..CAUTION ROAD WORKS ONE LANE TRAFFIC……Stay in LEFT LANE and carry on straight towards Piccadilly (A4).

8. Proceed through HYDE PAK CORNER UNDERPASS (TUNNEL 1) and straight down to PICCADILLY CIRCUS (A4) at the lights BEAR RIGHT and around onto HAYMARKET and down to the bottom.

9. Stay in LEFT LANE and TURN LEFT at the lights on to PALL MALL EAST (A4) towards TRAFALGAR SQUARE……..THIS IS THE TRICKY BIT BE CAREFUL……follow the road round and stay in the RIGHT LANE through 2 x sets of light and BEAR RIGHT and take the THIRD EXIT WHITEHALL (A3212).

10. Drive slowly along here as you approaching DOWNING STREET, if anybody has the urge to Rev the car loudly or show us there Anti Lag Systems…..PLEASE DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!................then drive towards PARLIAMENT SQUARE and prepare to TURN LEFT to go over WESTMINSTER BRIDGE (A302).

11. Proceed STRAIGHT over WESTMINSTER BRIDGE and then TURN LEFT at the traffic lights onto YORK ROAD (A3200), proceed STRAIGHT down to next roundabout (IMAX CINEMA) and take 1ST EXIT LEFT onto WATERLOO ROAD (A301) leading to WATERLOO BRIDGE (A301)….THEN PARK UP ON THE LEFT FOR PHOTO SHOOT AND REGROUP 15-20min………….


12. Pull into RIGHT LANE and STRAIGHT into KINGSWAY TUNNEL (TUNNEL 2) and through up onto KINGSWAYS (A4200) stay in the LEFT LANE and proceed to the main set of traffic lights with HOLBORN TUBE STATION ON YOUR RIGHT

13…………..TRICKEY BIT!!!!!………TURN LEFT at the lights onto to HIGH HOLBORN and then IMMEDIATELY 1ST RIGHT INTO SOUTHAMPTON PLACE to the traffic lights TURN RIGHT and at the next traffic lights TURN RIGHT AGAIN BACK ONTO KINGSWAYS (A4200)………YOU SHOULD BE BACK ON THE SAME ROAD GOING THE OPPOSITE WAY DOWN WE JUST CAME……………….


14. Proceed down KINGSWAY to ALDWYCH and TURN LEFT ………..NOW BE VERY CAREFUL……..AND STAY IN THE MIDDLE ON THE ROAD WITH THE TRAFFIC ISLANDS PASSING ON YOUR RIGHT…………..AND TAKE THE MIDDLE LANE on to ARUNDEL STREET…………then LEFT the bottom and around onto VICTORIA EMBANKMENT AND TURN LEFT………..

15. Continue along VICTORIA EMBANKMENT to UPPER THAMES STREET AND THROUGH BLACKFRAIRS UNDERPASS AND THORUGH TUNNEL 4………CAUTION SPEED CAMERA 30MPH AT EXIT AND 30MPH AVERAGE SPEED LIMIT CAMERAS……

16 Exit Tunnel and stay in left lane AND DRIVE SLOW!!!!!!, continue along and TURN LEFT into FISH STREET HILL SIGNPOSTED LONDON BRIDGE…..Top of road TURN LEFT and over LONDON BRIDGE.

17. Once over the bridge stay in LEFT LANE and TURN LEFT into TOOLET STREET PASSING LONDON BRIDGE STAION ON YOUR RIGHT…………THEN TAKE GO RIGHT INTO WESTON STREET TUNNEL (TUNNEL 3) AND RIP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..........TURN RIGHT AND RIGHT AGAIN INTO STAINER STREET TUNNEL (TUNNEL 4) AND RIP IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

REPEAT AS NECESSARY!

18. Turn RIGHT out of tunnel onto TOOLEY STREET (A200) and continue STRAIGHT down to JAMAICA ROAD and follow signs for ROTHERHITHE/ROTHERHITHE TUNNEL…… at roundabout take 2nd EXIT into ROTHERHITHE TUNNEL (TUNNEL 5.)


19. EXIT tunnel stay in LEFT LANE and continue STRAIGHT to COMMERCIAL ROAD (A13) and TURN LEFT at the traffic light…….go UNDER BRIDGE to next TRAFFIC LIGHTS and TURN LEFT into BUCTHER ROW (B126)….

20. Continue down to the next traffic lights stay in LEFT LANE then TURN LEFT into LIMEHOUSE LINK TUNNEL (TUNNEL 6) STAY IN LEFT LANE……

21…………..CAUTION 30MPH SPEED CAMERAS…. In tunnel STAY IN LEFT LANE when tunnel at the split take the LEFT LANE signed CANARY WHARF & ISLE OF DOGS…….on slip keep in RIGHT LANE and TURN RIGHT at the Traffic lights.

22. Stay in LEFT LANE and follow road DOWN to WESTFERRY UNDERGROUND ROUNDABOUT (TUNNEL 7)…..PLEASE FEEL FREE TO GO ROUND AND LET SCOOBY’s ROAR!!!!!!!!!!!.........THEN PARK UP 20 MINS.

23. Leave WESTFERRY ROUNDABOUT by SAME EXIT sign posted MILE END onto WESTFERRY ROAD and take slip road onto ASPEN WAY and follow clear signs for BLACKWALL TUNNEL.

24. Enter BLACKWAL TUNNEL (TUNNEL 8)…………ENJOY………then exit tunnel and take 1ST SLIP sign posted GREENWICH PENINSULA…..then take the LEFT SLIP left onto MILLENNIUM WAY…….Continue to DOME (You should see it) 2nd set of traffic lights TURN RIGHT then LEFT into car park……..END OF RUN….

If you do get lost during the run, head towards the next meeting point or the O2 itself..
