Default My Hawk

Well had the car the best part of 2 months now and still havent put any pics up so heres a few Ive took. Not the greatest pics in the world but better than nothing. Traded my DC5 in p/x for it.

Old car

Leaving the Teg behind

The replacement!

Mods so far:
-Fully forged engine built by finch motorsport
-K&n panel filter
-uprated fuel pump
-blitz nur spec r
-Front splitter
-some mudflaps

Plans for the future are get my ARB's, Droplinks, Tein springs and rolll centre kit fitted. Wheels will be getting powder coated white after the winter too. The only thing letting the car down (apart from the gold wheels :wink-new are the swirl marks in the paint. Was gonna get a paint correction done until I saw the price so the plan is to buy a DA and give it a go myself. Cheers for looking.

Nice car. A pal of mine has a DC5, proper good machine that takes sooooo much abuse!

Great that the engine is forged, solid and reliable 2.5 now

How does the DC5 compare with the Impreza?

I've test driven a DC5 and really liked it, the engine pulled well enough low down for a VTEC Hondam superb steering feel and handling.

What mpg did you get in the DC5?

DC5 is an awesome drive completely different from the impreza. I'd go as far as saying mines handled better than I feel the impreza does just now. MPG I never bothered working out but for 30 quid of v power I got ~120 miles mixed driving. On a motorway drive easily 400+ to the tank even with some vtec overtakes for the sake of it. If I had space i'd have kept them both.

I prefer the DC5 to the hawkeye personally.
Probably one of the best FWD cars around.
I guess it was cheaper to run/maintain than the Subaru?
What made you change?

A bit more expensive to run but not much. Insurance is £100 more than the dc5. Just a weekend car anyways so only do about 3k miles a year. Worst part is the tax! I changed car just because I'd always wanted an impreza. I planned on buying a p1 but they're getting on a bit now and the hawks definitely my favourite looking new age.
