Default STI V6 Silver New Arrival

Well i was away down at Knockhill on Friday at a rally experience day, that i had been waiting to do all year. Was Fantastic, Flinging a scooby around and giving it some harsh treatment. Seriously could take a beating. Any how. Got a offer of a look at a Sti V5/v6 in silver down in Glasgow with the look to swap for the cupra as he needed something cheaper to run for work. SO popped down and had a look and well i think i would of been silly to refuse it.

Really nice chap and wish him all the best in the cupra. Miss the car like mad but it's a crush ill get over for sure

So after a handshake and sorting the details. It was off back up the road with a full tank of vpower (thanks to the seller as i left a fair bit in the cupra). Apart from a horrible drive back up from Glasgow in the rain and bleak ****tyness. It was a great drive back to being in a scooby for a long time.

Half a tank from Glasgow to Aberdeen via Inverurie. Not bad really Not in it for the consumption figures at all.

So here's a quick spec for everyone, Will only be used a few times a month as got a lil clio to run around in for work etc.

Custom map by BrDevelopments in 2003 (Bob Rawle) Got the receipt here
Genuine STI front strut brace
Drivetec pads just fitted before i got the car, Might be changing them!!! :jawdrop:
Open cone filter and hard inlet pipe.
V728 Turbo
Hayward and Scott full decat.
(Think they are...) New-age Alloy's wrapped in bridge stone tyres
Momo wheel i might change back to original or a nardi torino steering wheel.

Few other bit's but i aint found them yet. Good look tomorrow.

Bad bit's:

Speedo keeps dropping down to 0 at random time's, bounces up and down even at a constant speed. Replacement speed sensor or ****ed wiring?

Needs new wiper's ( any upgraded wiper's to choose from)

New double din headunit as it's rather ermm. Quite :P

Otherwise she is not getting touched. Would appreciate a "expert" Plenty on here to have a look round and give there honest opinion.

Mot'd till May 9th.

Bit of money on the way in now so thing's are on the up now.

Insurance is sorted. Just got to wait till it get's swapped over from the cupra to this one. And adjust the premium

Better picture's tomorrow:

Video of the exhaust. It's really a bit loud for long drives, but it's nice to know you can be heard:

nice
The speedo will more than likely be the gearbox sensor, (get a 2nd hand one from a breaker on here), and go with some PIAA silicon wipers (camskill)

Still miss my classic this looks quite tidy

Very nice mate, sure to rise in value due to most decent classics being scrapped for parts!

Cheers mate. Only got a quick clean today. Really needs a claybar and a load of waxing and seal before anything else.

Wind deflector's. Front lip splitter. P1 Alloy's would transform the car

Looks nice, I was tempted by this back in the summer when it was for sale.

the speedo problem will be the converter on the gearbox cable, (The one fitted to convert from KPH to MPH) had the same problem on my old Type R just needed replacing with a different make as one is prone to breaking (can't remember which make is the crappy one though)

Aye she is a lovely car. Tried finding problems but i cant really find any thing wrong.

I admit i miss the Cupra like hell, and barely driven the scooby since i got her home.

I emailed Bob Rawle about the custom map but he has no information on the engine figure's. Just a list of what it had done to it.

Will ask as i go along

Aye Norman Told me. Had a ferret underneath today. Spotless. . Little bit of mark's on the arches but ill get that sorted before it set's in.

No idea of the official bhp and torque figure. Bob Rawle doesnt have that info anymore unfortunately

Decided to sell the P1 Alloys as i am in urgent need of securing the insurance on this and i cant really afford to keep them to be honest. Would sell the one's on it but the tyre's are to good to let go

Oz Racing P1 Alloys

17 inch
7J Offset (17H2)

Event WL905 215/40/R17 tyres all round.

Who want's them

Well decided ill list whats planned for the scooby over the next few months. And little jobs that I want done.

Serviced (currently 10w60 in there) runs really well.isit worth going t 10w40 for winter?
Sti oil filter.
Check diff and gearbox fluid levels and replace with oem or redline of necessary.
New spark plugs if needed. Maybe uprate to a colder set if need be.
Coolant flush and change.
Paint rear calipers and replace discs and pads.
Uprate to crystal side light's. To match the main lifhs
Reseal rear lights as slight water ingress into the boot
Piaa silicone wipers all round
Looking at changing the alloys to something different.with new tyres when I can afford it
Slight paint/rust discolouration on rear arches and the roof at top of windscreen. Get that sorted
Update to the map by bob rawle.
Full power wash the underneath and check for any bits that need undersealing
Set of pro drive mudflaps.
Front splitter in carbon or black
Custom ' scottish scoobies' and aberdeen scoobies sunstrips

Then that should be it for now.

The car is in near mint condition really. Am just overly fussy and want to make sure everything is okay for winter.

Really cany wait to get started on it.

Apologies for any spelling errors. Currently on the morphine in hospital

don't think it is mafless as the guy i bought it off recommended fitting a new maf when i bought it off him - drove bob on as it was so there was no need.
