Hi Dean......I dont remember the register being up and running when I owned the car (2008) so I never put it down, not sure if *jay* registered it before he recently parted with it. Hopefully it will end up in good hands and back on the Type RA forum

Jay

The type RA Registry lives HERE

Not many of the cars in this thread are registered - would be great to have you in there All data is kept securely and individual details of cars/owners will never be disclosed...

It's been running for just over a year so far. We are starting to get several enquiries come in from peope looking to buy an RA to see if the advertised car is 'known'.

Has also identified a japanese cut/shut that the current owner bought unknowingly The data we hold makes spotting chassis numbers that don't match versions/models very easy.

Surprising indeed I thought they looked like 18's.... Gutted to think I've a set of these tucked away but in the wrong PCD for mine.

Yeh they looked bigger, i went from 18s as the handling was terrible to 17s and it was perfect.

Yes 17's are going to be my direction this time as well and that's why I got them for the newage as well before I took to decision to sell it.

It's just some HDPE sheet cut to size, riveted to the bumper with 4mm rivets. Bottom has a one inch strip of aluminium from B&Q riveted to it as well to keep it in shape. It added it up after I built it and reckoned it cost me about 16 quid!

My pride and joy (V3 STI RA) I need some new pics... Car's been off the road for over a year now!

Just had a V7 Variable Valve Timing engine fitted and waiting on a new 4th gear to arrive to get the car back up and running.

One of my favourite ra's. glad to see that you've posted on this this tread. I followed your car for quite a long time on RS25, but haven't kept up to date with it for a while. I must say it sits great on these wheels. How are you finding the avcs engine? What is the rest of the engine and gearbox spec?

Thanks Joe, appreciate it. I've only driven the car once with the AVCS Engine and that was only 12km's from the auto electrician back to my mechanic after the wiring loom swap. Went well, but took it easy as still a few loose ends to tidy up. Engine is stock, running a VF22 with a few bolt on mods. Gearbox is still original V3 RA DCCD box with new bearings, synchros selectors etc etc... just in the process of having a new 4th fitted and will be back up and running again soon. Was tempted to go with a 6 speed, but I love the original boxes ratio's and have spend more on it than I could get a 6 speed for so will stick with it for a while.
