Ah but mine isn't matte, it's satin black. I feared the matte black would scratch to easy. Is your's wrapped matte white?

OcTag3n, with that Fiat colour your wheels now look very similar in colour to the Rota Grid Drfits I've just bought for my STi Hatch 'matte bronze' (standard Rota colour). I might get some of this paint myself though and use it in some other places to do a bit more colour-coding :-)

Mine are rota grid drifts mate, matte bronze original rota colour before I had them painted. I thought the rota matte bronze was too dark brown. Nothing like the rays/volk bronze.

This was what they were like when I bought them new...

I used to own a set of Work emotion wheels on my old Type R which were bronze from the factory. I think true bronze has a tinge of green in it in certain light conditions.

hmmm, maybe mines classed as satin then

but I don't want to put silicone on it that will start to polish it up.

I've bought the Auto Finesse detailing sray at trAX, I'll see what that is like, they said its water based and don't have silicone in it to polish a matt/satin wrap.

I've painted my Oz F1 rims 11b and used a satin lacquer...needs to be darker imo to be closer to the rays bronze, nice colour though

Just started painting my wheels in 11B Mazda Driftwood Mica last night. Will put some pics up when done. Colour looks very good under room lighting but darker in daylight.

Have also sent an enquiry off to a paint supplier about FIAT MARRONE VULCANICO 750F 1991 1997 METALLIC as a deal supplied in a rattle can with lacquer. Will let you know the outcome.

Yes I can see what you mean mate, I got the same effect from the BMW A32. You want the Fiat 750 Marron Volciano

I've tried quite a few different types of paint & the 750 Marron Volciano is the closest to the Volk colour that I've found. Uploading pictures on here will never show the true shade of a colour due to different cameras/settings ect...

750 Marron Volciano in the flesh (to my eyes at least) look pretty close to the Volk colour.

Get some pics up once they are done & fitted on your car

Done my other set of wheels in "Fiat 750F Marrone Vulcanico" Is the exact paint title. Used a few cans to put a lot of paint on and get the depth of colour required.

Paint gotta dry for good couple of weeks before I put them back on the car. Will post pictures when on.

Painted with a gloss lacquer at the moment as it was my only option. Have since bought some satin lacquer, so if I don't like them when they are fitted they will get a good few coats of that!

It's not a very good pic to be honest mate. Can you not get a daylight pic?

I'm sure a gloss lacquer will make the finish go very dark. Did you notice the colour change much when you applied the lacquer?

Mine were just sprayed with the paint, no lacquering. They are still looking fine so I don't think lacquer is really needed if the surface is prepared right & there is some heat to cure each coat of paint.

Paint I used applied itself in gloss, so had no choice there i'm afraid. Contained a part lacquer additive I suspect. The pic I put up was as it was sprayed after the last colour application. Not sure a satin lacquer will make it lighter, but can try if i'm not happy with how they look on the car.

As I only sprayed them last night i've not had a chance to take any daytime pics, but will at the weekend if I can!

Looks like there could be more green in your paint mix than mine! Used the same code to order, should have been the same!

Yes you are right. Bronze does have a very slight tinge of green in it. My Work Emotion wheels certainly did & they were bronze from the factory.

Funny you should mention the code should be the same. The paint used on my wheels was purchased from Bitec, a local automotive paint supplier. I went to Halfords to buy a touch up pen & it is no where near the Bitec colour. It's a lot darker. It's **** I'm being honest.

Never use the hellfrauds stuff. Varies so much!

Mine was mixed by reputable paint supplier. Looked very different after only 1 coat over black base, much lighter and more grey. After 2nd coat it got more bronze and brown. Will see what it looks like in sun light. Still don't think it will be as close as yours!!!!

Weird that mate, you would think a paint code is a paint code. Unless the swatch was different maybe.

Yes! That's a much better pic. They look really good, colour is pretty good as well. I can see a tinge of green also.

Good spray job
