Default Afterburner v Ninja 2

Is there much difference in the Afterburner Vortex & Ninja 2 backbox or is it just a case of preference? There prices are similar at Scoobyworld.
I am gonna ring them tomorrow but does anyone know if i can get one fitted in the North West area.

Cheers

Afterburner is very very loud, even at idle.
Ninja 2 is quieter but still fairly loud but easier to live with, particularly on the motorway.
Also ninja 2 is track friendly but afterburner definitely is not.

I wouldn't of said either were track friendly on a typically decatted car doing trackdays.

Afterburner is a lovely exhaust, always preferred the Blitz type but very pleased with my Afterburner tunnel box I run a scoobysport for trackdays

Vortex for me!!
It is loud when car is started from cold, but once warm, idle noise is just a nice low rumble.
I fitted mine myself,it's just two bolts and hangs very easily on rubber hangers.10 minute job

4.5k is cheating at most track noise tests Be good if it passes 105 @5-6k

I've had both mate. Well the ninja 1 and Vortex. Ninja 1 & 2 are nearly the same to be honest buddy! I prefer the afterburner vortex. Alittle more louder but nothing like the Nur Spec R. Lol

I'd also say it depends on your exhaust set up. Cats, No cat, Sports cat down pipe, non res etc. If it helps I've got both sound clips on YouTube. Might give you a better idea.

Afterburner Vortex for me. We're all different mate

I've had both systems and ninja 2 is definetley not as loud. Ninja 2 is lovely on tickover and is not ott. I never used the bung once when I owned a ninja2.
Vortex is a different league , smaller backbox, less baffles, straighter pipework & vortex baffle = much more noise. I am on my 3rd afterburner vortex and I love the sound , not as mad as a blitz and not as quiet as a prodrive.

I have an afterburner vortex back box with all the cats still in place and imo its the best sound. Not too loud looks good and it sounds like a subaru unlike the prodrive system i had.

ive had both, vortex on my first scoob - very nice rumble & great sound - top bit if kit.
ninja 2 is on now again a well made bit of kit just more tame, much better for cruising, not intrusive, but still has a great noise when you boot it.

However i am after a vortex again, just for more noise of the scooby rumble, but keep the ninja 2 for any journeys we take as a family, dont want the little one to have tinitus at 5 mths old!
