Default Scoobyclinic Drag Car: 2.1 + GT30 Billet = 9.66 @ 145mph 1/4 mile

Friday testing:
car on its 1st pass at 17psi ran 10.61 @ 135mph, 2nd pass boost was turned up to 20psi, clutch slipped in 3rd and 4th as car sat staging too long but still ran a 10.24 @ 132mph, 3rd pass boost was turned upto 23psi, car had alot of wheels spin ran and 10.10 @ 140mph, 4th pass boost still at 23psi, tire pressure on the hoosier droped and it ran a 9.88 @ 141mph

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECBnwpEcav0

didnt have a chance to do any more runs as it started raining and track closed

Sunday Race Day at Japshow:
Car is running in Factory Modified class as its too light for street class and didnt want to add more weight back.
1st qualifing run, boost still at 23psi with lower tyre pressure on hoosiers and got better 60ft of 1.45 it ran 10.09 @ 140mph, 2nd qualifing run boost upto 26psi, 1.46 60ft 9.93 @ 142 mph, car hit rev limiter before end and felt like it had brake binding on my first 2 runs so took wheels off and noticed i had forgot to fit fit spacers on front and the tyre had been catching on shocks!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yF2EtvlO4uI

we then decided to fit the MT 17'' slicks for 3rd run as i had qualified 2nd in my class, raised limiter to 8250rpm but had to abort run as the the LC timed out on staging.

i got a bye in in semi-finals due to other car breaking so decided to leave the MT on still at 26psi but had too much tire pressure and car was all over track and ran a 9.92 @ 143mph

for final i was against a supra that had run 8.7 & 8.8 all day and decided to put boost upto 29psi, i droped tyre pressures and got beef to raise LC to 5300rpm
i staged first for final as supra was taking a while to stage, i knew i had to try leave before supra if i wanted chance to win and i did and won with run 9.66 @ 144.8mph with a slowest 60ft of day !!! vs supra who ran 8.75 @ 158mph but left line later.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OiG4TU70z9U

sorry last video is a bit shakey as camera man got a bit excited when i got the start against supra.

im hoping the car will run a 9.5 next time out with better 60ft, with boost turned upto 32psi and taller tyres so i dont hit limiter in 4th again.

Thanks to: Blouch turbo for GT30 Billet and tial parts, Mahle-Rolland Alsop for the high compression stroker pistons, RNJ motorsports for drag cage, Perrin Performance, Panjab Times and scoobyclinic for letting me drive it.

Nice write up Mikee, car is looking great. You gonna stick with the 2.1 for a while or go back to the 2.33 ?

I think they have probably the balance just right as it is, I think the 2.33 would come good on a larger turbo and hotter cams. From our brief text message chats I think Mikee is more than happy with the budget 2.1
