Not a classic, but the boss is a Works Bell, and the fit was faultless

where you get the omp boss kit from ?

have got a nardi steering wheel of a early classic with boss on the back, been told this will work and should be better when going for a deep dish wheel as theboss isnt as deep as aftermarket ones, but just need to make sure that the boss covers the hole in the coloum left from my old wheel

Nardi wheel is 380, too big

OMP kit

Email YBRacing on ebay, no kit singles atm but does the wheel and hub combo kits so will have them just not listed. I get all my OMP from YB

Steering wheel came from ebay - £55, boss from RHDJapan and was £100 plus import duties (~£20), but it comes with airbag cancelling squib and horn connectors, took about 5-mins to fit

Works Bell bosses are proper nice if you can stretch to it. If I were putting a similar setup in to my spec D I'd stump up for a Works Bell OMP work well in early classics for ease and cost.

If it is a half decent kit it fits with the airbag ring as that does the indicator cancelling for you. The Works kit does, but I have seen OMP kits that need modding for the newage, they do seem to work with the classics though. Not seen the Nardi kit so can't comment

I just fitted mine in my late classic, got a cheap boss off ebay for about £30 and a Nardi drift steering wheel (pretty sure its a fake with a Nardi horn button lol!)

i didnt realise just how annoying it would be to keep cancelling the indicators lol....and my horn dosnt work!

I did with the Sparco wheel. Thats why it was changed for the flat RMD wheel. Suits my driving position as i have quite long legs and sit a fair way back

I have quite a few brand new Works Bell bosses for early through to new age Imprezas left over from my Nitosport days. I also have the lightweight race versions. All have self cancelling of indicators, horn function and airbag light extinguish.

Pm me for more info if interested.

Cheers
Nito

The nardi boss won't fit with your shroud and you'll lose the horn.

To get them it to fit and work you'll need the cowelling from an early (non airbag) classic and also the stalks which have the horn connection (this need spacing back about 5mm) but if you have a classic with the indicator on the left (gearstick side) the stalks are different and won't fit!!
