fitted to a standard car it would require a retune yes as there are a few tables that change the MAF readings based on manifold pressure so you could end up very rich or very lean in some areas. This car has already been somewhat adjusted as the original setup wasn't fully original to begin with

Where did you get it from bud? Been looking around, seems the best price I could find is £1600 plus vat, and even then you need an adapter for the hatch??

Clinic I think said are £2250 plus vat

2400 plus vat it’s specific to Jdm
got email and part number from syvecs uk
the loom is in the box aswell

I do not know where to start.....

The car has a Pole Position built 2.5 with baffle plate and uprated head studs, MD321V Twin Scroll, EL RCM Headers, along with supporting modifications to run around 500bhp with a relatively quick spool, however it's not performing well and unfortunately during mapping around three weeks in 30+d heat blew the head gaskets. The car was stripped and rebuilt back up and was "quickly mapped" for an event but was never running right. We think the Lambda sensor is failing and the injectors are now maxed (740's I think). So the car should be getting put right this week and mapped on maffless for the moment as I have thrown far too much money at recently and I simply cant justify Syvecs just now. Might even consider running meth and/or race fuel for the odd future sprint.

Hoping the car will return back smooth and early spool with somewhere near 500/500 for the grin factor and pub talk.... Suspension mods are still on the cards, but again timing is terrible as I have simply too much going on elsewhere.

Good luck in resolving your issues rob .
my limited experience with these cars have taught me there has to be imitations with the oe ecu
i never heard of the stumble issue on here until I started having it myself then amazed at how many lads on ere are having the same issues
how many of these cars above 400 bhp on oem ecu are experiencing running issues but won’t put it up on the forums?
seems a lot of the mappers are in bed with ecutek and will tell you over and over there is no need for aftermarket ecu, but if there is no need for an aftermarket ecu on modern cars why do company’s like syvecs , link and motec exist?
I only regret was not going syvecs at the very start

I agree 100%, but there is no issue with me doing this in stages at the moment as the lad mapping is being patient .

Syvecs is definitely the future without a doubt.

I doubt I'll be going over 1.7 bar which is what the map sensor can handle so I should be okay for a while. I also need to consider what I do with it over the winter as I've no longer got a garage and I don't want to use it through the ****ty seasons.

Perrin FPR update. its been a week now that ive been driving it day in day out and it combined with the new Forge 50mm bov has the car running the smoothest its ever been - checked over also and all behaving as expected with it.

only thing you notice is with the FPR it cranks a wee tiny bit longer before starting

just need to get the injectors & inlet fitted now with bit of bludgod fettling and my target of a solid 400/400 daily driver is complete

it will be fpr and rails that cures the stumble, not the ecu, as I understand it. Mapping can only mask it through fuel tables, because it's a resonance in the oem fuel line, so it moves as you mod more.
