How does the mishimoto perform ? I like the look of the Perrin and cosworth one aswell though. Much difference over the standard air box other than sound ?

No idea yet sorry lol
I bought and fitted it when I had just taken my car off the road for the winter. Looks well made. Shame you weren't looking in November as Mishimoto had 25% off there entire catalogue. Made me spend a fortune as I now have a twin catch can setup and uprated tmic because of it lol

for what it's worth i've seen good results with the perrin intake, very handy to setup and dial in. Night and day difference with quality kit compared to the ebay 20 quid jobs that are only fit for taking up space in the bin!

Notice the blue tinge showing in the main beams - uprated bulbs as well
Thanks for the suggestions Don, I've been running the Night Breakers for a long time, so was looking for more output. As I said the Gen2 HID bulbs have made a big improvement but highlight the lack of output on main beam. I'll have a look at the Lazer Lamps as an alternative.

Running a Perrin CAI in conjunction with an FMIC and still managed to get the large filter it comes with to fit.

Both the Perrin and Mishi have MAF airflow straighteners which are pretty good. The Mishi is the most cost effective. They were out of stock when I ordered mine.

Default Under seat subwoofer

So a fellow hatch owner has discovered a sub under his passenger seat. When I first got mine I looked into buying one but seemed to be an American thing and quite expensive so gave up.

His looks pretty "oem" And I'm wondering how easily they're wired up ? Plug and play ? At most maybe have to feed a wiring loom up to the head unit. I have the touchscreen nav unit , and it has a sub control in the settings.

any info appreciated.

Not into all the big sub’s you see in people’s boots but these under seat ones don’t look too bad.

If you search on the part number it's originally for a 2005-2009 Legacy (001 superceded 000) but was also used for Newage and Forester applications ..........
Installation instructions can be downloaded here............

I’m having my fuse box dipped on my hatch and was wondering whether I can cover it for 3 or 4 days with a plastic bag ? Or if anyone else can come up with a better alternative ?. I’m worried about the heat melting it.
