STi Spec-D (Couple of wee mods...)
...but think they've made a massive difference to the look of the car, I was a little unsure of going Bronze after I couldnt find any pics of Crystal Grey cars with Bronze Wheels. I'm very happy with the look that the wheels have given me and like the fact I didn't go for the more tried and tested route of Anthracite which I was close to doing..
**There are quite a few pics here, 56k might take a wee while.....**
Here are a couple of pics of how the car was when I got it a month(ish) ago:

...and here are the updated pics which were taken tonight:

Spec of the car the way it is just now:
General Info:
- STi V-Limited Style Front Lip Spoiler
- 300bhp & 282lb/ft (Rolling Road Proven)
Engine Info:
- Hayward & Scott Angled Back Box
- Hayward & Scott Unresonated Centre Section
- Green Cotton Panel Filter
Chassis Info:
- 18" Rota P1 Alloys in Bronze
- 225/40/18 Goodyear Eagle F1 with XL Sidewall
- Tein S-Tech Springs (-35mm Front and -25mm Rear)
What do you think of it?? All comments welcome....
Cheers,
Grant

Aye, was going for a subtle look, suppose it does have a wee bit of US/JDM style about it.. even thinking about punting the rear spoiler for a wee lip, but until I'm 100% on that I think I'll leave it how it is.
Frayz, its a really clean one mate, 29k miles, Stock Blue/Black STi Prodrive Style......... just how yours started out!!

Just need to get rid of the silly little tea tray wing, put a proper STI rear wing on, one of those rear window spoilers, few pink badges / graphics, some gold wheels and you're there

Spot on grant... wheels looks fantastic it has to be said and yes I think the colour suits a treat
and the lip changes the front aspect of the car completely
What have you applied to the wheels... anything as yet ?
I drop a coat of polish on mine followed by THIS quite regular and all I wash mine with is the left overs from the wash bucket, never anything else these days and the dust just falls off
also I found my weights went slightly rusty as they are not 100% lead these days so I masked around them and painted them... that's worth doing as well.
Personally I would consider going completely wingless
why not unbolt it and drop some tape over the holes for a week or two and see how it goes ?

Doesn't it defeat the point though buying a Spec - D (correct me if iam wrong)?
Surely you are a buying a Sepc - D, due to the fact you want the power of the STi lump, but still want to go relatively un noticed, limited noise (backbox etc), no body mods (spoiler etc).
A more classy Impreza?
Love the mods myself... but just seems odd....
Only an opinion, im sure if i had one myself, it would be difficult to leave standard!
Charlie.

why not unbolt it and drop some tape over the holes for a week or two and see how it goes ?Thanks Si, not applied anything to the wheels as yet.. but was going to coat them in something before they get any major use, and defo before the salty/gritted roads arrive later in the year. Never knew that about the weights either, might have to get handy with the masking tape and sort them out too.

I like the idea about unbolting the spoiler and covering holes with a wee bit of tape/gromit or something, think I'll probably do that this week sometime, see how I like rolling around without a spoiler.

Grant

Yep, I totally see your opinion mate.. and while I much rather the Spec-D colour, spec and overall look I couldn't go without some Flat-4 burble, but despite the appearance, exhaust is actually pretty quiet until the car is opened up. I'm not planning to stick pink badges all over it, bodykits, roof spoilers or massive STi rear spoilers so I'm kinda keeping to the Spec-D(iscreet) line of thinking, just with a couple of small touches to make it slightly more individual.

Grant

Have you a decal guy up near you at all ? you could see if he can do a near colour match with a few circles of material to cover the holes
You will not go far wrong with that wheel sealant trust me
Just watch out when you open the boot without a spoiler on you may need to weigh it down on the inside with something as a temp measure
