I have a black STI V5 on a T plate. Mine is totaly standard with about the same mileage & I paid £7500 for it only 2 weeks ago. With the mods you have I should imagine you would get anything from £8000 upwards, Advertise it at £8600 , let her go for £8500.

Awesome car by the way.

Not yet mate, I've been waiting for the weather to ease up a bit so I can get some serious polishing done without getting rained on all the time.

Hi Mate

Can I just ask, is this a car you bought recently?

I am sure I remember looking at this on Pistonheads a few months ago.

Yeah its the same car bud, its a real beauty I must admit, but a couple of Sundays ago I was on a Subaru SWS rolling road day and the owner of the unit took me to one of his other units as his brother sells scoobies for a living and he had a new shape STi in black gloss stunning and I was smitten, so maybe trading up at some point.

This looked fantastic on pistonheads to be honest, I was so tempted, but having just bought a house and now having a new kitchen being put in, in a couple of weeks leaves me short for cash.

Great looking car, all the best for the sale.

Btw, I swear this used to be my cousin's car - Did you buy it from Simon in Bristol?

If so, she's a beaut.

Yes mate I bought it from Simon well part exd my 323 ci, and the nice thing is that all the work on the car has been done at Tileys of Bristol (Subaru Dealer) and your right the car is a stunning example.

What a coincidence!

Very nice car btw. I know Simon spent a lot of money on that car prior to you buying keepin it all in order and uprating the parts.

There was a time when Simon, his brother (Chris) and I all had Subaru's - family events were like Subaru meets!

Anyone interested in this car should be aware that it is the most clean example I have ever seen of a classic STi and obviously owned by true enthuisasts (if I have spelt that correctly)

Fee Bttt is your look to sell RB5RLP.

How doe's it compare to the RB5?

Ha Ha hi Norm how's the RB mate, well I love my current car mate its a real beast but like I said I saw this new shape STi in gloss black and was smitten, but the problem is this current Sti classic is that clean it would be hard to part with.

Regards Russ

RB5LP

Be very tempted with the newage STI in black (Mine is too!) I thought that comming from a classic to newage would be a bit of a letdown, but I have never looked back:

1. Servicing every 12 months not 6
2. Much better interior
3. More planted/settled handling

I also found the insurance to be cheeper too.

Do it - you won't regret it.

Cheers Guys

Cant believe the attention the STi has got since I put her on Pistonheads.com so far..... I have had the following calls...

1. Saxo boy £5k yeah right plus £3995

2. Swop for a Mitsi Evo 5 (was mint)

3. Part ex for a Mitsi VR4

4. Kenny from Scotland cash deal

5. Swop for a 2001 Golf 2.8 V6 4motion

6. Swop for an Evo 6 GSR

7. 53 plate GTI 206 180

Not a bad response so far I think.......

Never trust anyone called kenny from Scotland!!!!!!!

But IMO your should hold out for the newage. Keep a bit back though for mods as personally, I found that they don't feel so quick (until you look at the speedo!) as a classic. Good luck with the sale.
