Default Subaru forester STi colour coded C pillars

So managed to find a set of c pillar trims in suposidly the right colour over in Australia of all places. Much cheaper than the UK so thought I'd give it a whirl as I'd seen it done over on American forums. Posted to a mate in Sydney who kindly shipped them over here for free.
Fitted one side just to get an idea, thought I'd put it out there to see what people think. Excuse the lighting and the unclean car.

Also have a set of front spats to fit to

Colour match doesn't look great. Couldn't you have simply got the originals resprayed?

That looks like the difference between 48W Crystal Grey and 45A Urban Grey .

For the price I picked them up for being these were painted from the factory it was easier to buy them but the more I look at them I think that Don has hit the nail on the head

Yes Don turns out there's more of a silver tinge opposed to a gold so looks like they'll have to be repainted if I keep with them. Fitted to get a feel for if I liked what I had seen done over in the States but in the flesh opposed to on Google when I was searching for wheel options
