Over the weekend I went to put in the rear crossmember mount insert bushing kit - KDT902 and it didnt really get off the ground. The bolt heads are in poor condition so I think this ones going to be a garage job. Its clear form the picture they need doing though.
Been bad at updates, so here goes. The weather has meant the Whiteline bushes have still not gone in yet which is annoying, however the dealer I bought the car from had fitted new discs and pads but I started getting bad vibration under breaking so these got bought to replace them. Godspeed disks and Project MU pads. The difference is huge much better bite when compared to the rubbish Pagid kit that was taken off.
The vibration has almost gone now, however there is still some so further investigation is needed.

The NS 400 look like a great option for a road car and you can't go wrong with Godspeed discs
Thanks Abbas, I am hoping to get the lower bar you sold me fitted this weekend as well.
You really need to fit the sti chassis strengthening kit and top brace with the lower brace, to complete the circle; otherwise the flex is transferred to where you don't want it. I ran the top flexi bar alone for a year, and really didn't feel any benefit. Ignore me if you already have the other parts ( the lower strengthening kit is the most important partner for your brace)

Great advice, Thanks. I dont have either at the moment, I am assuming that the top strut brace would need to be the STi one rather than anything else for each item to compliment each other?

Quick update, with the weather being better I finally swapped out the Gear Lever Support Bush for the STI - Group N Uprated Gear Lever Support Bush - ST35036ST000
Flexible lower bar bought from Abbas also fitted, STI - Flexible Lower Arm Bar - ST20512ZR010
Thanks Andy, I couldnt believe how soft the support bush is, its made a massive difference bearing in mind I already have poly shifter bushes, God knows how sloppy it would have been with the OEM parts!

I really need to do all the shifter bush upgrades to mine eventually. Mine still feels like new, but even then I know what an improvement these make over standard. Really good upgrades.
How low does the lower brace hang from the ground then? Any potential scraping issues on speed humps?
I havent noticed any issues, however my car is standard height. That said it isn't much below sump height so if I was hitting that I would be more worried about other things. As with all STi parts it was a tidy install.
That particular bush is probably the easiest to install, it certainly was for me, mainly because youre not trying to squeeze it into anything like you are with the other shifter bushes.
As already posted in the hatch thread, The car is showing the classic signs of head gasket failure, I have spoken to Alan Jeffery who couldn't have been more helpful and decided that the gaskets need doing. This meant it was also time to look at forging the 2.5 engine, so the car is off to Engine Tuner tomorrow to start the work.

Oh mate that's really annoying. I hadn't seen this in the hatch thread. Gutting.

If funds allow closed deck, I can only see me wanting to get to about 400 as its a daily so not going crazy with the build, however a closed deck build will also increase the value imo.

I agree, if possible go CDB on it. That's the only thing mine is missing, which I'm sure at some point will be done along the line with another engine build.
