Default 8ulldog's 340R

Hi all,

I decided it was time to start making a thread seeing as the mods have started. I picked up my 2012 WRX STi with the 340R upgrade pack at the beginning of July.

Here are some pics of her today:-

Mods so far:-

HT Autos front splitter, side skirts and rear spats
Wheels refurbished in dark anthracite
H&R 15mm hubcentric spacers all round
RallyArmour mudflaps
Zunsport front upper & lower grilles
Hella Supertone horns
LED sidelights
GFB Adjustable BOV (On the car when I got it)
Carbon fibre bonnet scoop (Previous one was broken and may colour code this)
Rear spoiler & front fog lights surrounds wrapped in carbon
K&N performance panel filter

The to do list:-

Personalised plate
HT Autos full rear diffuser
Colour code boot lip
Intercooler cover (On order)
Strut tower brace
Engine bling

Thanks for reading, comments welcome!

Lovely car. Would the black bit above the rear numberplate look better white you think?

So today I've ordered a nice intercooler guard and some Rally-Tech engine bolts, just need to wait for them to come from the USA and Malaysia respectively.

This morning I have fitted a K&N performance panel filter and my next purchase will probably be a strut tower brace. I want it preferably in black / carbon though can be just silver (No other colours). Any suggestions?

I've seen that after doing some trawling this morning. About £200 landed for the Perrin version and there is also an STi 20th anniversary one but that's about £300 landed.

Does anyone know of any UK stockists?

It will, though on the guidance of respected tuners it will not make a noticeable difference. Besides, it's not adding drag like the tennis racket!

The longer term the plan is to either get the Mishimoto upgraded top mount in black and an STi stencil or go Perrin FMIC.

So managed to give her a wash / polish / wax today and take a few pictures. Since my last update I have colour coded the strip above the rear number plate, fitted carbon Subaru emblems front and rear, fitted a strut tower brace and slam panel.

My intercooler cover from the USA has not turned up after nearly 4 weeks so I have cancelled the order and bought an STi template to paint it myself. I have bought a personalised WRX plate and am waiting for the paperwork from the DVLA.

I also test fitted the HT Autos rear diffuser that I bought though I'm not to keen on the amount of space around the tailpipes. Does it look better off or on and how do you think it would be with bigger tail pipes? Thoughts please.

Personally I think it looks better without the rear diffuser, it seems like one of these parts thats often just added for the sake of it. Doesn't really bring anything to the rear end visually and makes it look a bit cluttered in my opinion.

Love the car though, i'm not a fan of this body shape but yours looks great!! The wheels sit perfectly and the white body with dark accents looks bang on.

If you sell the diffuser give me a shout. Will look epic with my Invidia N1. Definitely needs bigger pipes!

Although I had the original HT Autos diffuser, was never keen on the full width one above.

Decided on a Liberal one instead.........

Thanks guys. I think if I was to keep the diffuser I would have to go bigger pipes and not sure I'm that bothered to be honest.

Feel free to make an offer Tommy.
