Aspen White Bugeye Wrx
Hello guys and girls im Simon and im 20 years old, figured it was about time i started a new thread up to show my progress and updates on my new bugeye i purchased from cuprajake on here the other week.
I came from owning a 57 plate Hawkeye R sport that i carried out a few mods to which were Prodrive GT1'S, Pedders suspension and full exhaust, was great as i was 19 but wasnt quite the turbo model.
Now fast forward to now, i knew i wanted another Subaru this year but felt like i was only going backwards if i bought another non turbo as i had been there done that, and the jdm hawkeye sti insurance was so out of reach i decided to start looking at wrx's which is when i came across Jake's bugeye. Now i was never a fan of them initially but since owning it i have changed my mind. The spec it has for the price i paid was the reason i went for it, so after meeting him ( top top bloke ) i paid the asking price and drove it home. So here's some photo's the morning after..
Now jake hate's me for this but i put back on the old boot lid and high rise spoiler and gave it a well deserved wash;
first things first i wanted to check the car over and make sure everything was on point so i took it to work one saturday morning,
once checked over i took it out for a drive to get to grips with the car and resulted in breaking it, firstly the boost gauge decided to **** itself, with a constant live and earth feed i figured it had just given up so i ordered a prosport one from scoobyworld and then on full boost in 3/4/5 gear it would stutter and misfire so decided to run through a few bits and park it up through the week;
Intercooler came off just so i could check over everything, all the pipe work was fine, no oil leaking from anywhere etc, i did make up a new earth strap from gearbox to bulkhead as it had seen better days, so then i decided to clean all the engine bay up whilst i was at it so heres some before photo's;
After;
Then came in my new parts, surefire coilpacks, new plugs, alternator belt and air con belt;
Since then jake got his private number plate swapped over so the plates were removed and a few generic photo's
Now being OCD as i am and already deep cleaning the bay i turned to the interior of the car, which was already mint but didnt stop me;
Now were pretty much upto date, the cars not seen the road yet as im waiting on my 12x6 number plates to turn up so i can't confirm if i've cured the slight misfire on full boost but il sort it if its not cured. So here's some more generic photo's ive taken whilst polishing/waxing it and fitting scoobyworld black mudflaps;
That's it for now, i've just ordered a few more parts today that should arrive and be fitted next week, ive got the prosport boost gauge still to fit and then i need to do the cambelt and give it an oil change, will get some outside photo's next weekend when it's back out. Loving it so far so please comment away.

A good investment with some quality parts in there for sure like the steering wheel it's off a s202!
The hesitation is just wear and tear hopefully youve sorted it, it is a used car after all nothing that can't be sorted mate look forward to see how it evolves in your hands and to see you at some shows with it this year

That cars belonged to 3 members on here and everyone of us has looked after it so you've got a lot to live up to........
It certainly looks better with the spoiler back on and i preferred the front when Jake had the Prodrive bumper on it. It's certainly had some money spent on it over the years.
Heres what it looked like before Jake got his hands on it and spoilt it lol:

Right so a few things have happened since last weekend, one being i finally got to take it out on the road and can confirm the stutter on full boost has now gone, so coilpacks or plugs cured it so im over the moon with that . Secondly got the new Prosport boost gauge all wired up and fitted, along with recieving my orders from the weekend, so il let the pictures do the talking;
So first up we have 12x6 import plates, black lower zunsport grill, new grill badge and a carbon front lip. The carbon lip is suppose to replace the white prodrive one already fitted but as jake mentioned to me its well stuck on so i decided to mount it underneath, then discovering on trying to get out the garage i have 3" clearance and cannot even get out of the garage on to the road so ive already scuffed it up and now have to try remove the white prodrive lip, all good fun, looks awesome in the garage at least
So that was yesterdays antics, woke up this morning and travelled to collect a new drivers seat for the car, Prodrive Sparco seat which im excited about, paid £270 with an omp side mount kit on so i think i got a bargin considering the condition too;
So then it was time to give it a wash and put it away for the week, or longer as im fed up it getting mucky already haha
Thats it for now, next few jobs are get the prodrive seat in and buy a harness for it, get the white front lip off and the carbon one back on and then get some wheels, plus the other hundreds of bits on my wish-list
Comments welcomed

I've seen this car transform so much over the years it's unreal. And it still looks like new! Keep us all up dated buddy.
Good to see cars still is great care. Always wondered what happen to mine after selling her on here years ago!

Thanks for the comments guys, i appreciate everything isn't going to be everybodys cup of tea but that's what makes us different.
-----------------------------
So the prodrive seat i picked up last weekend was brilliant, couldn't believe i finally had 1, but i really wanted another so i had a matching pair, so yesterday i travelled to manchester to px my seat and cash for these;
2 carbon Prodrive Sparco seats
So i ordered the bits i needed last week and got them fitted today;
so im currently over the moon with them, i need to lower the height of the drivers seat at some point but that's an easy job also remove the buckle on the back of the harnesses as i didn't realise it shouldn't be on until someone explained/pointed it out to me.
Anyway as usual still got a few more jobs to get done, and some better photo's next weekend hopefully.
Comment away.

Figured i had better update this as it's been awhile, not a great deal has happened just being enjoying the car more than anything. Car has had numerous washes but these were some photo's i took after one;
Then i finally got round to getting a set of wheels, took me forever to decide and settle but i think its paid off, Revolutions
Loving how it looks now;
Not sure what i've got planned for it next, but there' always something else.
