I was lucky to find a Zenperformance TD05 for sale on here, think it was about £420/50od . Done the job rightly.

Ha, 'need' sure you may as well! What else would you do with a couple of ££££ lol.

Took it to crail with old launch control which hadnt been changed from vf 35 & did a 13.6

Bogging down terribly,

Can hear in the clip it's over a sec till on boost,

Now running higher launch rpm of 5200 and making 0.9bar off the line lighting up all 4 tyres every time, so well inside the 12's as the launch before was terribly bad.

Better video to show how much it used to bog down.

Have you had it back with new launch control strategy?

Planned to take it to the last one on sunday there but didn't make it, will have it back up when it opens again,

The launch now is unreal, feels brutal to say the least,

The 13.6 was the early run when still wet it just got slower as it dried and bogged more and more.

Can tell by finish speed it can shift tho

Good banter the crail!
You need to get your 60ft down to 1.7 👍 No launch control here!

I would have done better with no launch control lol

Cant wait to try it with this proper launch setup, huge difference

There was stock subarus pulling many car lengths off line and gettin reeled in before the end, dissappointing as it didn't show the cars potential

Thanks,
It uses the bottle that was for the intercooler spray, it's not the most powerful but does what it has to,

Well i went back with a carberry map and after tinkering with the launch did a run with a 1.8 60ft and got a 12.7.

I then went an raised my launch that extra bit as its still bogging down even on the run with 1.7 60ft it didnt feel like it got off the line very well.

I got past the 1/8th and seen my eml flashing and backed off. Turned out i had left green test connectors under dash together haha.
Shame as i was on target for a 12.6 easily.

Reckon i could shave a few more tenths pretty easily just by getting the launch setup properly.

Well couple months on and buying this Bugeye Sti is best decision yet,

The little Ibiza Cupra 1.4 Twincharged Dsg 180bhp it has replaced was made of chocolate and felt like it wouldn't last.

The Bug can see over 200 to a tank,

The Ibiza struggled to see 300,

So for the little bit of extra running cost there is a whole lot more fun,

I purchased a set of KYB shocks and plan to refresh the Springs and Topmounts too.

It is good to be able to jump from one into the other just to emphasise the differences between them,

One other mod i did was Kartboy and AS Performance shifter bushes which have made a hell of a change to the shift,

Will be purchasing a set for the weekend toy after seeing first hand the change it makes.

Nice pair of cars Love the look of the blob.

I took my blob STI with PPP to Crail, managed a 13.5 and came away wondering what I could do to get into the 12s. Looks like I need a good bit more power.

Thanks man.

It wasnt good when i ran the 13.6 with ecutek map there was stock cars staying ahead of me till 1/8th.

Switched to carberry to allow me to play with launch RPM and took almost 1 sec off.

All down to the launch.

Next target is 11.9 without forging it haha

Here is the result from the road dyno using same data as last visit,

As can be seen earlier in thread the 427bhp run came in @ 397bhp on Ecotune dyno

I would be happy if when ran on Ecotune dyno with Ethanol I see close to 430bhp with close to 400Lbs/Ft.

Wont be anytime soon,

I also got the launch rpm set to what i had at crail last visit so hopefully we can drop the best time down a little from the current 12.7.

(12.6 if you count the one i bottled it because EML was flashing haha)
