    Hiya.
It was a pain. I actually ended up buyinga whole set of suspension JUST to get those parts (and to have a second set of top mounts in case I needed them too). £80 off of ebay.. I was desparate. Try breakers. To be honest, I think ANY set of gaiters and bump stops are fine, so any old set off a knackered classic would do.

    Hi Dave,

Thanks very much for the info on how you fixed your WRX. I have the same issue, so have bought what you listed and gave Rich @ FB a call.

He reckons I also need bump stops and gaiters, but I'm having problems finding them. Could you let me know where you got yours please?

    Cheers

Hi mate, have a read of the thread "how I fixed my knocking shocks"
    https://www.scoobynet.com/suspension...pe-struts.html

Basically, you can disassemble yours and re-grease them, but this is a temporary solution unless you also fit grease nipples and re-pack them wit hgrease periodically. You can also get KYB Ultra SR shocks, or Excel G's, which should fit your car but you'll have to be careful and might need replacement top mounts which are quite hard to come by. Have a read of the thread and see what you come up with.
My solution wasn't the cheapest, but it should be a long term fix and I love the results - car hadnles beautifully now and still rides very comfortably.

Your car is an Sti - this causes some additional problems beciase I THINK the hub knuckles are different.... do some research and I'm sure you'll come up with a solution. Beware fitting coilovers. IMO nothing ruins a road car faster than cheap-end coilovers!

    Hello dude

Hope you are well? I was wondering if you could help me out

I have just purchased a 2005 Hawk WRX STI and have the dreaded shock issue, I'm looking at changing front and back and was wondering what you ended up doing to fix the issue??

    Any help appreciated
