the wiring looks like it has got too hot and think there may be crossed/touching wires somewhere in the loom . .

I just need to see the sequence of the lights as they come on, not really the brightness . . as I am sure both lights were on when lights on dip but my indy says that the inside ones r side lights and should go out when the outside dipped lights are on then the sidelights come on as full beam . . if you understand what I am trying to say lol

The side lights are on as soon as the lights are turned on (if I use the little switch on the binnacle mount behind the steering wheel just the side light bulbs come one if my main light switch is off) . No matter if they are on dip or main beam. I have the little bulbs alight on the inner lamp with the first click turn of the light switch. On the second click turn of the light switch the little inner bulbs stay alight and my outer dipped beam light. When I go main beam (push light stalk forward), everything comes on as well the little 'side light' bulbs in the middle lamps.

So to recap:

First click of the light stalk (or LAMP switch turned on behind steering wheel):
SIDE LIGHTS ON IN THE CENTER SET OF LAMPS

Second Click of the Light Stalk:
SIDE LIGHTS ON IN THE CENTER SET OF LAMPS
DIPPED BEAM ON IN THE OUTER LAMPS

Second Click and Stalk Pushed Forward:
SIDE LIGHTS ON IN THE CENTER SET OF LAMPS
DIPPED BEAM ON IN THE OUTER LAMPS
MAIN BEAM ON IN CENTER SET OF LAMPS

Hope this makes sense and helps fella

true alcazar . .

soooo . .

(yes I know I'm female )

when the dipped lights are on - 2nd click of the light stalk . .

it should only be outside dipped light & side lights on?? not a low glow from the main beam bulb??

No glow from the main beams, no.
That sounds like a form of feedback, poor earth etc.
