Yes, they can.
Most in single filament lamps, which is yours, are plug and play.
Look behind the headlight, remove the bulbs, (it may be a headlight out job) and trace the wiring back to where it meets the stock wiring. Remove all extra wiring, sometimes a relay, but not always and certainly two ballasts, they look like this: http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=hid...r:21,s:0,i:116
Place stock bulb in and re-connect stock wiring and it should be OK.
You'll have to ask someone else what the stock bulb is
