All red rear clusters. Spray or vinyl?

All red rear clusters. Spray or vinyl?
Sorry if this has been done to death but can't find anything on a thread.
Has anyone sprayed just the orange indicator part of their rear lights red? How did it turn out? Could you just spray the orange part or would you need to spray the whole light and blend it in?
I know obviously the indicators would flash red unless I either get green bulbs Or led orange ones with resistors. Be nice to hear people's experiences tO help me try get it right first time!
