my fuel gauge was faulty in my 2001 Bugeye WRX so I have bought a set of Blobeye clocks from the net. the clocks are visibly different as in the speedo is on the right now but i was assured they will fit and work fine. the problem is that now I have fitted them the ABS and Handbrake light are permanently on with or without the handbrake on.

has anyone else found this and has anyone fixed this. I want to avoid putting tape over the light really if i can?


any help will be appreciated.

Upon closer inspection it appears the abs light is reversed, off for 2 seconds then on from there

Do a search: there was a fix for both about 6 months or more back.

I have searched but no look, what should i search for ive tried most combinations of 'bugeye to blobeye clock swap abs light' to no avail

AS above - check out Nasioc .... was looking at changing my clocks a while back and did some research on that.

Plenty of threads on there with guides - if memory servers me right you have to use a resistor or something to make a chance? Unless I'm talking crap lol

Thank you ive been searching for hours with no luck, it hadnt occured to me this would be common with sti-wrx guage swap, ive been clearly seachimg wrong. I will have a go at the weekend


editted: to add the howto for anyone searching who find this thread·

First of all Locate wire B3 and cut leaving enough wire on either end. Next you need a 5 pin change over relay connect as follows term 85 any ignition live 86 cut wire from loom 30 earth 87a cut wire from clocks This only works when fitting later clocks lo early cars and abs light is off when ign first turned on then after 2 or 3 secs it comes on and stays on. If you have problems with handbrake light term A2 needs an earth to turn off diff temp light B4 needs an earth.

LOL, searching is a bit hit and miss: you need a LOT of luck for it to pop up right away.
