Default New age alternator wiring.

Just need to know where the three wires on the alternator end up. Black/white to charge light and 12v supply? Other two ??

Thanks Don. Yes I have downloaded that from internet but.....my alternator has three wires plus the large white that ask ally goes to the battery.

The B/W I know goes to charge warning light.
Yellow I now see goes to 10amp fused feed(exciter).
I also have a blue that I can't trace it's path too??

Thanks

Have found a blue on the MY04 Forester 2.0XT diagrams

but none on any of the Newage Impreza manuals i have (be they European or US)

However the 04 ECU pinouts pages do show a generator input as does the 05 ones..............

Don, the blue on the Forester manual shows it going to B134 pin 22. On my ecu this is a power supply ground, so not the one.
I'll check out my B84 pin 11.

Re albob c25. My c25 only has 17 pins so can't be that.

WI-121 (looks like I may have given the wrong page number in my first post, it should be 3391 -- My bad.....)

That is from the MY04 Impreza manual PDF linked in the 'Loom help' thread linked at the start of this thread (post 15)

the blue on the Forester manual shows it going to B134 pin 22. On my ecu this is a power supply ground, so not the one.
I didn't expect it to - just an illustration.

Further checking throws up another anomaly concerning the MY07 Impreza (Interactive CD version)

No "third" wire shown for F26 on the Power Supply Circuit but it does show on the Engine Electrical Circuit, but not on the ECU pinout page

Well it looks as if my cataracts are taking effect

Although WI-121 refers to LHD SOHC with OBD model, I looked more carefully and found on WI-171 for RHD turbo models the "missing link".
Blue goes to terminal E11 which is plug B84

Does this attachment just confuse ? - it is taken from Ken Gilberts site

http://ken-gilbert.com/wrx/STi_Manual/index.htm

and shows the Charging System page of the wiring section (I'm assuming it is a USDM version)

Thanks for the help. Think I can wire it up now. Engine is out of the car in a test cradle. I'll be trying to fire it up soon to test all the loom wiring I have cleaned up ready for the transplant into the Beetle. No doubt I'll have a few issues!
