Default Bugeye hatch door sensor

TLDR: Where is the tailgate sensor for interior light on a bug eye hatch?

Hi,

I just bought myself an MY01 WRX (I'm in Australia) hatch/wagon, and in the process of cleaning a few things up I've noticed that the boot/trunk light doesn't work.

I've pulled trims off, checked wires with a multimeter and had a good look for the sensor/switch but cannot find it.

I'm getting no voltage to the plug for the trunk/boot light at all.

I do have a plug floating around in the tailgate itself not plugged into anything, and one of them did have continuity to a wire in the plug for the light.
But, I couldn't find anything to plug it into.

So does anyone know where this sensor/switch is?

It's part of the Tailgate lock/latch mechanism

Ah, wicked, thanks heaps.
I was in there but didn't see the pins, not easily seen at first.

All good now.
