I have long been an owner of Jap cars, Skylines, Classic imprezas and even a yaris.

but my recent purchase of 2003 blob eye has been great until the cold weather kicked in.
The fan heater makes lots of noise but the resulting air blowing out is simply rubbish.

Are the 2nd generation of impreza known for awful heaters? it gets nice and warm it just takes forever to get there.

de-icing windscreens is teedious already.

Any suggestions?

Worn fan motor, air lock, leaking heater matrix, blocked filter etc.

I have a 2002 and no issues with mine. Takes less than 2 miles to get engine up to temp in order for hot air.

Try changing cabin filter under glove box,could be blocked with dirt.

+1 my cabins like a sauna after about 5mins mine was really clogged up got the part number off don Clark on here
