Default RB 320 In the flesh!!

Just caught first glimpse of the new RB320 today on the lisburn road. Looked very nice indeed. In fact better in the real world than i thought. Not sure about the bright orange/red detail on the interior mats and gear *** etc. apart from that

I tell you what. I wasn't ashamed to park my scoob beside it. But unless i rob a bank or win the lotto i have no mission. Will have to stick with my own sti and mod it up to 320 BHP.

but thanks for the offer

Tell you what, was over at Eastwoods last night and he has a brand new one sitting. Was tempted to throw in the sti and take out a massive loan. Wife would def kill me. I just made her sell her Mini cooper s convertible so that i could have my second sti.

Do you reckon she might think i am taking the ****?

having a ball since weds, this is a totally different type of driving from my old ep3 , torque is incredible and thats even with limited to 4k revs running in, in gear accel is unbelievable and easily surpasses my heavily modded ep3.Power delivery is smooth without the type r drama, its a struggle to change gear to keep up with the forward thrust!Theres no such thing as bends anymore!Heres a static vid anyhows

Your 320 is fantastic. Fair play to you. Will be a real blast when you get her run in properly.

Did you buy it from Eastwoods?

They didnt all come with leather, as far as i know it was an option as Eastwoods had one with just normal STI seats in it and another with leather and alcantara in it.

Sorry, excuse the questioning, but if the leather is an optional extra, what makes the RB320 so special to justify a 29,995 price tag?

What "extras" do you get?

Its got £6000 of extras on it compared to the normal STI as stated below:

Prodrive Performance Pack (320 bhp)

bespoke 18 ins alloy wheels and specially developed Prodrive
suspension comprising Bilstein dampers, a sports spring kit with revised rear anti-roll bar and a ride height lowered by 30 mm at the front and 10 mm at the rear.

chrome mesh front grille
front lip spoiler
quickshift gearchange
side sill plates and RB320-branded gear ****
carpet mats and exclusive exterior badging
individually numbered black alloy tax disc holder.

And as a further incentive, those customers that placed orders with deposits were offered a limited number of places at a special RB320 launch event at Prodrive's test track in Warwickshire.

The lucky owners were able to take delivery of their RB320 and drive demonstration STIs around the track and meet rally celebrities.

wonder what it would look like without the mesh? or with the mesh painted black? might be overkill on the black theme.

I say stick a big front mount intercooler in there and take the mesh away altogether.
