How about a meet?
Date/time/what to do/where suggestions commence
Personally I think somewhere not to hard to get to for both NI and southern, like Enniskillen... small enough of a town to make an impact with a convoy

Was at two last year, February at Sprucefield and during the summer some place outside Dublin. Would be good to have a more planned or structured day, past meets have usually involved standing around a carpark having a yarn and a look round cars. I'm still thawing out from the february one!!!
Would be good to agree a route for a scooby convoy, or go some place for a feed. Are you volunteering to organise MSP?

a meet would be great, north or south dosent matter.
You would probably be better posting it on isdc.ie, but im not sure how enthusiastic the guys on there would be about a northern meet, as everytime they have a southern meet no one goes down. The guys are great and anytime in the past we have had a meet in the north they have came from everywhere.
As tarmac terror says, leave it until a bit later in the year, the one we had last year in february was baltic.
Go for it though MSP,

What about a northern meet first in March/April time and firm up a southern trip for the following month or so?

1. MSP / Any month suits me - let's see how the weather warms up after feb?
I'll get in ISDC I'm not registered there at the minute

If its a Northern one then I should be able to make and bring a mate along!!
Sprucefield would be ideal as it is plenty big enought and there would be a good impact froma Scooby convoy. I bet the one last year was pretty good eh??

DMC is right, everytime there's a southern meet no-one goes down, the last meet in the south myself, Tarmac Terror, DMC and Turbo Girl were the only one's to bother and it's slighty embarrassing when you see all of 4 northern reg cars in a yard of 40+ southern cars. Yet with all look how many southern reg cars we all saw in sprucefield in February!!! Doesn't really look great.
Those guys can always make the effort to come up north, and some from as far as cork!! Is everyone up here to lazy to have to drive any more than 20 miles??
I say somewhere close to the border to make it fair for everyone. I don't mind driving a few hours.

I fully agree.. but in no slagging way......... there was lads who drove 6 hours from cork to the sprucefield meet... last meet we had was abbeyleix in co.laois.. lads came 6 hours from Donegal to this......... << ISDC - Irish Subaru Drivers Club - ISDC >> plan is for an all ireland club.....
For the amount of subarus up north i don't see why more don't log on and join up. I must repeat myself and say this is not the southern impreza drivers club but the ALL IRELAND CLUB will have events throughout the year north and south. Please ANYONE interested in info please PM me?????????? Absolutely any questons????????

have it somewhere around the border, even meet up near newry, and go for a drive along the cost, through kilkeel etc, over to newcastle, into donard park for a while then move on somewhere else.

or even if we went on across the border, we could zig zag about the country side, bound to be some nice driving roads about there.
If we do fancy meeting in newry somwhere, then the southern guys can convoy up and the northern guys can convoy down, then if we all agree on the mournes area, some nice driving roads about there too

Hows about everyone sits behind their key boards and talks about a meet for the next few mths and unless its within 10 miles of their door step they won't go anyway
never seen so many lazy fckrs over here as was proven the last time...........guys from the south we were prepared to travel up north.............numpties from the north cant seem to make it past the outskirts of belfast

what do you reckon folks, anyone any further ideas reference a meet/event?
pick up a trail heading for B&Q Newry, for a gathering, and then head for the coast, go for a feed?, tullymore forest carpark - anyone a dab-hand with the barby?
March 31st suit all/anyone? Weather should start to pick up around this time....at least more daylight to see the rain.
