Default Heater vents

Im trying to take out the 2 side blower vents. Is this an easy task. I am coming up against a bit of resistance and dont want to pull too hard and break a clip, etc.
Are there hidden clips etc, or do i need more force.

Thanks.

On what year?? If its a classic. then on the side pointing towards the A piller you will see a clip about 1/2" down. Its just a case or finding a blade or other suitable instrument down to the clip to allow it to pop up over the dash.

Forgot to say the side nearest you will rise first, then its just a case of pulling it towards the back window.

There's also a metal lug on top of the unit that need pushing down to release the vent.

If your thinking of cutting it up to fit a knocklink etc give me a shout - I've a pre cut one in the garage.

Was going to get them sprayed body colour, along with the centre console.
Couldnt get them off.
The console looks really nice IMHO, brightens up the dull interior

Thanks for the offer.
